PRESENT
The first thing Stacey noticed as she opened her eyes was the dim room and the faces she had never seen before. She scrunched her face up at the splitting ache in her head before opening her eyes again. A man was with a needle, ready to insert it in her anytime from his face. A woman sat beside her, her palm around her small hand, from the way she was holding her, she could tell the woman was holding her down.
“Where am I?” She finally muttered, darting her eyes between both of them.
"She's awake." the woman yelled out.“Get the alpha, now!” The man with the needle ordered as the woman eyed her before standing up.
“Where am I?” She asked again, closing her eyes tightly and trying to remember anything.
Her father. A meeting. The elders. A light.
“Ahh!” She half growled out as she opened her eyes again.
“Do not come near me!” She snapped at the man before he could come any closer.
She managed to sit up. She couldn’t remember anything, but fragments of the last incident. She was in a room, filled with people and they were all laughing with her. Then there was a bright light, something she couldn’t tell where it came from.
She blinked as her wolf sensed a brave aura of someone approaching the room, causing her to be high on alert, her eyes fixed on the door.
“Your highness,” the man with the needle greeted.
The highness met with her eyes, and Stacey could swear she had seen this man somewhere before, somewhere she couldn’t remember. He stayed at the same spot with his eyes boring deep into hers.
“Show your power."He finally said before taking a step towards her.
Stacey brows creased at his words, darting her eyes between the three of them.
“I’m talking to you. Show...the...power...again.” He said again.
His aura was so strong that Stacey shook in fear. She closed her eyes tight as he finally reached her, flashes of her memory appearing in her brain again.
“I need to speak to my father! I want to speak to him! I can still rectify this!” She said out loud.
“What’s wrong with her?” The highness said as she opened her eyes.
“Where’s my father?” She asked.
“Do…not…come…near…me!” She shouted at the man with the needle again.
“Can someone in the room tell me what’s going on!” The highness yelled out, startling her as she jolted back.
She couldn’t remember anything. She had said those words to the man called her father, or the man she had called father. What was she rectifying? What did she do? She glanced at her body to see scars and injuries on the visible part, making her more confused than she could ever be. Who did this to her?
“She doesn’t remember anything, your highness.”
Her head snapped up as she heard that, her eyes almost popping out of her sockets, “what…what..what did you just say?”
“Who are you?” She turned to the man with the bold aura.
“My name is Stacey.”
“Your parents?”
“My mother is dead..” she found herself saying.
She furrowed her brows after that, how did she know that?
“And your father?” She heard him ask again.
She clenched her eyes as she tried to remember her father. There was nothing about him, just instances where she had yelled ‘father’ or was pleading to ‘father’.
“I…I…can’t…remember..” she stuttered and slid back inside the bed.
“Your highness, may I have a word with you?”
Stacey could feel his gaze on her, and she turned to look at him, noticing how he looked at her in disbelief.
“Why is she not doing anything! I want to see it again! I want to see the..” he yelled out in fury all of a sudden.
“Your highness…”
“Get her up!”
“Your…”
“I said, '' Get her up!” He ordered.
He stood up from the bed and walked towards the door, running his hand through his sleek black hair.
“Your highness, I believe this is an opportunity for us. She possesses the power of the thousand myths, and she doesn’t even know anyone. If you accept her as your mate, and bring her closer to you. It would be a great deal for the pack.”
Lucien Malskolvi, Alpha of the Blood Moon pack, the man of powers, and the head of all devils as each pack saw him to be. He gritted his teeth in annoyance. If not for the flash of the great power that she showed, there was nothing he needed of a weak wolf like her.
“Warm up to her, just for a while. Once we’re done with her, there would be no need to deal with her anymore.” the woman holding Stacey hand before said.
“Have you checked what I asked for?” Lucien asked.
“Yes. The power comes up every full moon.”
“But it wasn’t..
“With ancient history, I think she has the capability of possessing both the moon goddess powers and the thousand myths.” The woman replied.
Lucien gritted his teeth, turning back with a full smile as he walked back to the bed. With her power and her by his side, he could conquer the whole packs and dominate them, giving him the title of Alpha of all Alphas.
“Stacey…” he called out before sitting at the edge of her bed.
She looked up at him, a skeptical expression flashing through her eyes. His palm touched her skin lightly, stretching out the smile on his face,
“Welcome to the blood moon pack.”
“How did I get here?” She asked as he glanced at the woman.
“I brought you here, and you’re alive thanks to the two of them.”
“And who are you?” Stacey questioned with a raise of her brow.
A smirk tugged the corners of his lips down, his eyes roaming around her face.
“Lucien… Lucien Malskolvi, Alpha of this pack and your rightful mate.”
Apart from not remembering her memory, things have been going pretty well for Stacey, even though she feels unsettled about it. Lucien took good care of her, he adored her but his questions about some strange things baffled her greatly.“My lady, the alpha requests for you in his room.”Even though they’re mates which she was still finding a bit hard to wrap her head around, they didn’t sleep in the same room. Their room was beside each other, and he had access to her anytime. He also hasn’t touched her, maybe because of the numerous scars on her body which she had no idea where she got them from.“I’ll be there soon,” she said. She wore the last piece of earrings before staring at herself in the mirror. Every day she woke up in this room, a part of her screamed to her that this was not her life. Everything felt surreal to her, the rich life, the care and adornment. It felt like she had never gotten it in her life. Her heartbeat quickened as the door opened, standing up from the chair
“Get me out of this place now! Get me out of this place! I want to see Lucien! Get me out!” Stacey yelled out, banging the door furiously. She staggered back, her eyes red stricken and her hand covered with blood as a result of the banging. But she didn’t care. She wanted out, she wanted to talk. She remembered everything clearly now, starting from the first incident of her life. He was never her mate, he was never anything to her. He was the devil of all devils and the most feared Alpha across all continents.“You’ve been disturbing the whole courtyard. The alpha would come to see you soon, you don’t have to worry,” a guard said to her before turning back.“I want to see Lucien! I demand to see him now!” She yelled into the guard’s face.“For what?” She heard a voice that shook all of her insides. The confidence she had while yelling to see him was long gone, as the devil was now in front of her. She staggered back to the wall, got tears streaming down her face and her whole body sho
“Ahh,” she groaned out in pain, managing to stand up from where she fell too and towards the end corner of the room. The walls of everywhere had always given her solace, it didn’t matter where or when, she found peace in cold walls and under the blanket of her bed. The tears she had been trying to compress poured down her face. Why couldn’t something work for her? Her memories could have stayed hidden and allowed her to enjoy more but why! Why didn’t it stay hidden? Why did something have to interrupt her death plan? Why did she have to stumble on her father’s foot that day and be tortured with 36 whip lashes. Or why did she have to be dressed stupidly by the maid and end up hated by her father? “Why! Why!” She yelled out as the tears continued to stream down her face. There was no one to blame but the moon goddess, causing her to be born on her day and leaving her with nothing. She couldn’t get a whole day without getting injured, or yelled oat, or have someone trample on her. She c
“Mate..” the words that left their mouths together.Their eyes stared deep into each other, and for a while, it looked more like he was staring inside her soul. His mate. It can’t be. The least he had expected from someone who was nothing but a bed-thing for the devil was her turning out to be his mate. Was the devil lying all this while? Deceiving the whole capital he found his mate while in truth, she belonged to him. Could this be a plan work between the both of them? But what would she stand to gain if she did that with the devil?“Who are you?” Ronan heard her say and he immediately felt disgusted. He blinked away from her gaze, roaming his eyes around the passage only to frown his brows.“Where were you going to?” He asked, staring back into those black eyeballs. He could see the fear in her eyes after his words, and for some reason, it sat well with him. He didn’t plan on keeping her for long, even if it means she was his mate. She was also the devil plaything, and he only ca
Chapter 7Even the look on her face was enough to tell Roman she clearly didn’t care. With his fingers stroking his chin lightly, he stared at her with extreme attention. “Which pack are you from?” His Beta, Eric asked her.She opened her mouth to talk but closed it back, making him annoyed. She was doing this on purpose, and clearly didn’t care about the outcome.“Take her back to her room and lock her up!” He yelled out. She stood up immediatly and dropped her arm out as the guards approached her. He stared at her till she disappeared, and continued to stare at the wooden door until his beta spoke up.“What are we going to do about her? She won’t say anything.” “Something is wrong.” Ronan muttered, darting his gaze to his Beta.He stood up from the chair he was seated on to start pacing, something he does whenever he’s frustrated.“Something is clearly wrong with her.”“Why do you say that?” His beta asked. He ran his hands through his hair, his gaze returning to the door, “she’s
“Who is going to do the killing?” Stacey repeated, looking up at him as he turned to look at her.If he had thought something was wrong and not sure, her words now made it so true. “I’m not going to kill you.” He said, scoffing out loud.“Then that means you’re going to torture me. Same process with them.” She added. He curled his gaze up, more surprised as he eyed her. “The maid would come and clean you up.” He said and turned away, not waiting for one more second as he darted out. He mindlinked his beta immediately,“In my chambers! Now!” He ordered, his expression serious at every step he took towards his room. Her words affected him greatly, and the look on her face baffled him. He needed to get into more details about her, if not from her, then he’ll do his finding. “Your highness,” the guards greeted, earning a nod from him as he entered his chambers, not surprised to see Eric seated already.“What’s wrong? You look annoyed.”“Because the girl is not saying anything..”“Did
Chapter NineStacey was surprised when a maid entered a room, carrying a full tray of food and also with a guard at her back. But what surprised her most was when the maid took her seat on the bed and watched her.“Aren’t you going to leave?”she said after a while.“I’ve been assigned to take care of you. Trust me, it’s not something I want either.” The maid retorted, making Stacey's lips curl up.She was used to the behavior of the maids right from her pack, and it didn’t surprise her to see her acting like that. If her father’s maid could act condescending towards her and she put up with it for close to 20 years, why would she allow a maid of no one to act like that to her.She was clearly hungry, and the food on the table was intriguing, so she stood up and walked towards it. She was sure the guards were standing outside, and a maid inside. Only the goddess knew what was going on. She started to eat, drowning in her own new world. The food tasted sour to her lips, just like the sa
“What’s going on here?” Stacey heard the lady repeat before standing up from the maid, who scrambled up and dashed towards the lady immediately. She dropped the knife back to the table and walked towards the bed, brushing past the lady and laid back down.“Close the door as you leave.”Stacey’s eyes darted towards the door immediately, her heart raising a little bit before gulping and looking away. Another of them,” she thought to herself.“Leave it open,” she heard the lady say, a look of surprise almost flashing through her face.“I’m Janiya.” She heard her say as she moved closer to the bed. Stacey shifted away a bit, making her stop in her tracks and folding her hand to herself. “It seems you don’t like too much people,” “The alpha sent me here…“To kill me?” Stacey sprung up immediately, meeting with her eyes. “Nope!” Janiya retorted, surprise lacing her face.“Not at all. I’m just here to always talk to you, be with you and we can have fun together.” She replied, taking ano
