PRESENT
The first thing Stacey noticed as she opened her eyes was the dim room and the faces she had never seen before. She scrunched her face up at the splitting ache in her head before opening her eyes again. A man was with a needle, ready to insert it in her anytime from his face. A woman sat beside her, her palm around her small hand, from the way she was holding her, she could tell the woman was holding her down.
“Where am I?” She finally muttered, darting her eyes between both of them.
"She's awake." the woman yelled out.“Get the alpha, now!” The man with the needle ordered as the woman eyed her before standing up.
“Where am I?” She asked again, closing her eyes tightly and trying to remember anything.
Her father. A meeting. The elders. A light.
“Ahh!” She half growled out as she opened her eyes again.
“Do not come near me!” She snapped at the man before he could come any closer.
She managed to sit up. She couldn’t remember anything, but fragments of the last incident. She was in a room, filled with people and they were all laughing with her. Then there was a bright light, something she couldn’t tell where it came from.
She blinked as her wolf sensed a brave aura of someone approaching the room, causing her to be high on alert, her eyes fixed on the door.
“Your highness,” the man with the needle greeted.
The highness met with her eyes, and Stacey could swear she had seen this man somewhere before, somewhere she couldn’t remember. He stayed at the same spot with his eyes boring deep into hers.
“Show your power."He finally said before taking a step towards her.
Stacey brows creased at his words, darting her eyes between the three of them.
“I’m talking to you. Show...the...power...again.” He said again.
His aura was so strong that Stacey shook in fear. She closed her eyes tight as he finally reached her, flashes of her memory appearing in her brain again.
“I need to speak to my father! I want to speak to him! I can still rectify this!” She said out loud.
“What’s wrong with her?” The highness said as she opened her eyes.
“Where’s my father?” She asked.
“Do…not…come…near…me!” She shouted at the man with the needle again.
“Can someone in the room tell me what’s going on!” The highness yelled out, startling her as she jolted back.
She couldn’t remember anything. She had said those words to the man called her father, or the man she had called father. What was she rectifying? What did she do? She glanced at her body to see scars and injuries on the visible part, making her more confused than she could ever be. Who did this to her?
“She doesn’t remember anything, your highness.”
Her head snapped up as she heard that, her eyes almost popping out of her sockets, “what…what..what did you just say?”
“Who are you?” She turned to the man with the bold aura.
“My name is Stacey.”
“Your parents?”
“My mother is dead..” she found herself saying.
She furrowed her brows after that, how did she know that?
“And your father?” She heard him ask again.
She clenched her eyes as she tried to remember her father. There was nothing about him, just instances where she had yelled ‘father’ or was pleading to ‘father’.
“I…I…can’t…remember..” she stuttered and slid back inside the bed.
“Your highness, may I have a word with you?”
Stacey could feel his gaze on her, and she turned to look at him, noticing how he looked at her in disbelief.
“Why is she not doing anything! I want to see it again! I want to see the..” he yelled out in fury all of a sudden.
“Your highness…”
“Get her up!”
“Your…”
“I said, '' Get her up!” He ordered.
He stood up from the bed and walked towards the door, running his hand through his sleek black hair.
“Your highness, I believe this is an opportunity for us. She possesses the power of the thousand myths, and she doesn’t even know anyone. If you accept her as your mate, and bring her closer to you. It would be a great deal for the pack.”
Lucien Malskolvi, Alpha of the Blood Moon pack, the man of powers, and the head of all devils as each pack saw him to be. He gritted his teeth in annoyance. If not for the flash of the great power that she showed, there was nothing he needed of a weak wolf like her.
“Warm up to her, just for a while. Once we’re done with her, there would be no need to deal with her anymore.” the woman holding Stacey hand before said.
“Have you checked what I asked for?” Lucien asked.
“Yes. The power comes up every full moon.”
“But it wasn’t..
“With ancient history, I think she has the capability of possessing both the moon goddess powers and the thousand myths.” The woman replied.
Lucien gritted his teeth, turning back with a full smile as he walked back to the bed. With her power and her by his side, he could conquer the whole packs and dominate them, giving him the title of Alpha of all Alphas.
“Stacey…” he called out before sitting at the edge of her bed.
She looked up at him, a skeptical expression flashing through her eyes. His palm touched her skin lightly, stretching out the smile on his face,
“Welcome to the blood moon pack.”
“How did I get here?” She asked as he glanced at the woman.
“I brought you here, and you’re alive thanks to the two of them.”
“And who are you?” Stacey questioned with a raise of her brow.
A smirk tugged the corners of his lips down, his eyes roaming around her face.
“Lucien… Lucien Malskolvi, Alpha of this pack and your rightful mate.”
KELEIGH’S POV My father’s claws gleamed in the light of the overhead lamp of the room as he raised his hand in the air, preparing to swipe. My breath caught in my throat as I pressed against the wall he had roughly pushed me into in a rage after he had caught I and Jake in the act of canoodling. He roared in fury as he bore down on Jake. I could understand why he was so enraged. Jake was the Alpha of the Moonlight pack, and my father was the Alpha of our pack, the Wesselton Pack. Both our packs have been in a bloody feud for so long that no one even remembered how it started in the first place. Countless wolves from both packs had died for generations over this feud. And Jake was about to be the next person. “My daughter!” My father growled at him. "How dare you!" My heart galloped with panic as I stared at the scene in front of me. My father in a state of half-shift, his clothes already partly torn from it. Jake, pinned below him, his eyes filled with so much fear and shock as he
The next evening, the carriage carrying Lena pulled up in front of the house, and she could barely contain her excitement as she rushed inside. She felt her wolf twirl and jump at the back of her mind in happiness, and at first she was going to ask her wolf why she was acting up but decided against it, she was here for her family. She had travelled far and wide, but there was always something different about coming home, even if it wasn’t her home anymore and she didn’t want to waste the time she had with them over some feeling.Ronan and Stacey were home to her, the one place she could always come back to no matter how long it gets or how far she had gone across the world. The change of scenery did her good. For the first time ever, she was living her best life, one that revolved around her existence and not around a certain male. It took her a while to adjust to the new environment she settled in but once she was able to, she realised how much time she has wasted on someone who clear
NINE MONTHS LATERStacey sat on a couch, her large belly protruding as she tried to find a comfortable position. She was more than tired of being pregnant and more than ready to have the babies out of her.She loved the connection she felt with her children but she hated how her legs got swollen at the slightest discomfort. The children always chose the wrong times to be active. When she would want some rest would be the times that they wanted to kick around. She was grateful to Ronan for being the understanding man that he was. She had poured most of her frustration and mood swings on him, yet all her ever did was make sure that she was okay and if she needed anything. She started to feel contractions on the early hours of the morning and she thought it was time. The doctor was sent for and he told them to wait for some time before confirming if it wasn’t just cramps that Stacey was feeling but the actual labour.Ronan paced the room, running his hands through his room. They had been
It has been a few weeks since Ronan proposed to Stacey. He wasted no time in starting preparations for it. He was more than eager to finally wed her.The set date came by so fast everyone became busy trying to get everything to fit perfectly as it should. The wedding decorations were made in a vast open field, surrounded by talk grass and wildflower just like Stacey wanted. The wedding planner had strung lights across the field, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The light twinkled in the evening air, giving the space a magical feel. The centre of the field had been transformed into a beautiful altar area. The wedding arch was decorated with fresh flowers and greenery, creating a stunning backdrop for the bride and groom. The aisle was lined with more flowers and flickering candles, leading the way to the altar.Guests took their seats on hay bales covered with soft lace and while cushion cover, set up in a circular arrangement around the altar. The flowers and decorations were
Ronan returned to his pack with his mate and sister. The whole commotion had died down now that Eric and Chris had been captured.By now, news had spread about Ronan being Alpha of all Alphas had spread like wild fire across packs. The other packs were already giving his the respect they should now that he was king among them.He walked Stacey to their room to get settled in and to have get some rest after the tedious journey they have had. He allowed her to take a bath so that she could feel refreshed before tucking her into bed.“Do you need anything else love?” he asked, making sure that she was okay.“No, I’m fine thank you. Can you send some maids over on your way out? I’ll have them whip something for me to eat, I’m famished.” Stacey replied, rubbing her bump that was beginning to show.“Of course love. Have someone send for me if you need anything else alright? I’ll see you soon.” Ronan cupped her face with one hand and kissed the other side of her face before standing up from
Ronan and Lena rushed out of the house at the sound of the carriage coming in. They didn’t know what to expect but they were ready for anything. As the carriage pulled up and came to a stop, Ronan saw both Eric and Elder Chris stepping out. He felt anger bubbling inside him.But his rage was dampened by the sight of Stacey sleeping soundly in the carriage. Ronan wanted to wake her up to make sure she was alright, but the pack doctor whom Lena had sent for intervened insisting that she should be left alone to rest up.“Alpha, don’t. She looks exhausted. Given her condition, it is wiser to let her get all the rest she can get right now.” The doctor said to Ronan, his eyes scanning over Stacey for any visible injuries.Ronan wanted her in his arms, his stubbornness wanted her with him, awake or not. Once again the doctor stepped forward, his hand out to stop Ronan.“She’s been through a lot, Alpha. Let her rest for now. We’ll take care of her.Ronan reluctantly let the maids take Stacey
