Chapter 03

William felt like he needed to go to the global beach for a while. He needed to see the beach to remind him that these people in the crowd has their own issues like him too. They're all facing a battle.

Will parked and was about to open the door when he saw this lady who passed in front of his car. He doesn't know why but he was drawn to her. His gazed had followed her until she was out of his sight.

Who the heck was that?

He went out the car and hurry to look for that lady, but she was nowhere to be found. Damn! He sighed, upset that he couldn't see her. Well, not for him.

Turning around, he went on the other side of the beach. Those feeling he felt when he saw that lady, it's nothing like before. Seeing that expression on her face, it's not like how he sees other tourists when they get there.

Sitting on his favorite bar, he faced palm, he realized he was overthinking about that stranger. He needed a drink.

"A bottle of water please, the biggest one." He heard a lady ordered.

Turning to whoever said that made his heart do some somersaults. His eyes widened and his mouth slightly gaped as he sees that lady. He puffed out a sharp breath, finally blinking in disbelief as he look down and smile like an idiot.

Brieanna was intimidated by the man on her side. She cleared her throat and made a straight face, she didn't want the stranger to think that she was frightened and bothered.

"Here you go." The waiter handed Brie a 1,500 ml and then she paid.

William just can't let this girl go without talking to him. So he decided to face her.

"Hey," he confidently said with a flattering smile.

Brieanna's first impression of this guy was him being so damn intimidating and flustering. She chose to just flash him a fake smile. The waiter handed Brie the change and she immediately left.

William flashed a smile. He just got indirectly rejected. He raised a glass of wine and drank it all, it's now or never. He paid for his drink leaving it under the wine glass and ran to chase her.

Brieanna had an exhausting day and she needs a resorts accommodation now.

When Kirby was still alive they once was accommodated by Patrick's on the Beach but now, too expensive for her. She won't last a day with 3,000 a night? She had 12,456 in total. Just to reach Siargao she had to spend 7,390 so what's left is 5000+.

She continued to scroll for a cheaper room while walking when someone tapped her shoulder that made her flinched.

"Oh God!" She yelled and accidentally dropped her phone.

"Shit! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," William said as he picked up her phone and handed it to her.

Brieanna glared at him and snatched her phone from his hand.

"Next time, don't go tapping people in public places. Call out their names or run in front of them," she coldly said.

"May I know your name then if that's the case?" Will asked with a smile on his face.

She frowned at him. "I know what you're doing and I'm not here to make friends. I'm also mean and rude so stop what you're trying to do."

William couldn't say anything so he watched her go. Damn! He never met a girl like her before. That girl was just so straight forward and very fierce. The kind of girl that he likes.

"What a beautiful Monday evening," Will mumbled to himself showing a grin. He's going to call it a night and so he went to the parking lot.

Brieanna frustratingly continued to search for a place. Minutes later, she saw one but the thing is; Earlier it said that a room cost 7,000 a night and now it says 999? But whatever! Atleast she can stay there for 3 days max to enjoy the place then later on die. She booked the room and walk her way to that resort.

Upon arriving, she was greeted with a smile by the receptionist in the front desk.

"Uhm... hi! I'm Brienna, the last minute booking of the evening?"

"Oh yes ma'am! Hold on a moment as we look for a suitable cottage," the receptionist said and checked on her monitor. She took a key and handed it to Brieanna.

"You have cottage number 55. Do head left once you're out of the hallway then from there you will see the signs. Have a good stay," the lady in the front desk said and smiled. Brie took the key and went on her way to find her cottage.

Inside her cottage, she put down her big bag and her phone on the side, charging it again. Connecting to a public wifi, she gets no texts that says they want her to come home. Instead she has a lot more insulting and shit so she turned off her phone and took out her sim card then throw it away. She won't be needing it again!

She took the nicely folded towel on the bed and she started to get undressed. She needs a damn bath and she's going to sleep after.

Kendal rushed to Brieanna's room when they got home from staying overnight. She always gets nervous opening her cousin's room. What if she opens up and saw her cousin laying down with a blade on the side and bled to death or she'd see her hanging? She knows Brieanna was always up to something like that. She's suicidal.

Holding the door knob, she inhaled and gather up courage first. Slowly, she turned the doorknob and pushed the door.

"Brie?" She asked softly. When no one answered, she push the door wide open and made her way in.

"Brie? Are you here?" She asked again, this time a little loud. No one answered and so she started to have quick shallow breaths. She rushed to open Brieanna's bath room door and when no body was there she sighed in relief.

Where could Brie be? She thought as she slightly frown worrying about her cousin.

Kendal was about to go out but then she saw Brieanna's cabinet not closed properly. She opened it and her eyes widened to see a mess.

"No, no, no, no!" Kendal continues to say as she quickly opened up the rest of the cabinet and drawers. She saw no travel bag, no sneakers, no...

She immediately went out and go downstairs to their grandmother and aunt crying. "She's gone! She ran away!"

Mary faced palmed while their grandmother closed her eyes in frustration.

"Just let her go away! Let her come home on her own!" Mary angrily yelled. "If she thinks she's emboldened, then let her attitude be heard by the world!"

After yelling that Mary walked out, angry about this mess her niece had made again.

Kendal sat beside her grandmother who was also worried. Her grandmother then cried that made kendal to rub her back.

"I don't know what to do with Brieanna anymore," their grandmother sobbed.

Kendal chose not to say anything but deep down she's really so worried. She knows her cousin and she doubt that Brieanna would return alive.
