Chapter 18
Today, Brieanna celebrates her day off. Like what William and her talked about, surfing is part of today's agenda. She didn't want people to laugh at her so they decided not to practice at the public beach and just do it outside their house.
An hour since they started catching waves and Brieanna had caught none at all. William kept going on with her duck diving and to paddle and paddle which she was not prepared even though they warmed up. The duck diving was really dreadful for her. Her board just doesn't go down no matter how much she tries.
"I need a break!" she yells, panting.
When she got to the shore, she just went and lay on the sand. She's pretty bad at it. The waves aren't even that big but her feet keeps getting swept off and she ends up falling before she could even stand.
"It's your first day. You can get better," William said, sitting right next to her. "You totally flop though," he added, laughing softly which made her throw a dirt

Brieanna just closed the door behind her. William and her just finished talking about him leaving for work. Two days and three nights and he leaves tomorrow. That means she's going to be alone! The next day Brieanna was running late for work. At the entrance like always, she meets Richard and she waves at him while he says hi to her. At the kitchen, her shoulders were really sore, she keep grunting every now and then. If she didn't need money she would have taken the day off. "You okay, honey?" Veron asked her, noticing how she keeps massaging her an arm after another. "Yes, I uhm... I was a bit hard on myself practicing how to surf. I paddled too much," she replied, flashing Veron a smile. Brieanna couldn't be more upset when she saw Dianne with her friends outside. They were giggling and she swore she wanted to darn punch each one of them. What on the hell could they be doing here? Inviting William to a party? "William's on a business trip," she coldly said, keeping a straight face. Ugh she just wants to punch this Dianne! At home, William decided to let Brieanna in his room. That way when he finish his work he knows she's just right there. His room was way bigger and his bed too. If she decides to roll around she can. William plastered a lizard like smile when he saw Brieanna shut her eyes. He would love to kiss her but he doesn't want to when obviously there are secrets he is keeping. Evie's visit was short and Brieanna was really glad that her friend cared about her. They talked about what happen. Evie told her that she can't wait for her to come back and catch some waves together. Although she is feeling better, William insisted that she stays for one more day. But it kind of bored her just to stay inside so she went to their porch that faced the ocean. She smiled when she saw the sparkling waters. The waves were calm and like always would crash on the shore. "I want to feel the ocean," she whispers, standing up and walking towards the shoreline. Letting the soft wave on her feet, her mouth displayed a smile. The water is sure cold and if William wasn't going to get mad she probably would have submerge her body in the ocean. Everything is back to normal for Brieanna. She went to work before William could even offer her to give her a ride. She doesn't want a ride, she just wants to explore more the road she takes. Not everyone gets a chance escape such situations. Entering the resort, she meets Richard who was with his surfboard. This happens often but this time, she wants to start greeting him with the same energy he puts. "Good morning, Richard!" she greeted, earning a raised brow from him. "Good morning. Someone's kind of in a good mood. I wonder what happened," he said, giving a lopsided smile. "Thank you for calling William. You saved me." "I could have done better but I didn't know. I'm glad you are back safe." "Practicing again?" She looks at the board he is holding on his side. "I might join you one day with Evie." "Yeah. And I'll look forward to that. Just make sure I ain't gone by the time you decide to do it," he uttered, softly laughing.
