Danny P.O.V I leaned against the doorway of the apparatus bay and watched both her and the sunrise for a few seconds as I took everything in. I was tempted to take a picture just so I could stay in the moment a little longer but I didn’t, luckily, I had a good memory so I would be able to come back to this moment in my mind as many times as I wanted. I stood up and straightened myself out so I was no longer in the doorway, as I began getting more and more closer to her I started to see more and more of her face. I could see that she had been crying, she still was but it seemed that they were just a few droplets right about now. She didn’t look like she was in a talking mood and in all honesty, neither was I but I couldn’t just leave her there all alone crying. I sighed before grabbing the nearest chair from the squad table rolling it right beside her and sat down. From the way she looked at me, she hadn’t even noticed my presence until I sat down. Without saying a word I looked up a
Malia… I stood there frozen for a few seconds before finally snapping out of it. “I’m so sorry about her, she’s a little bit too much sometimes but to answer your question, No, I'm fine. I'm still capable of going to breakfast with you, it's actually perfect because I'm desperately in need of food and coffee ASAP.” I joked but continued “So how are we doing this? Are we talking your car and you’ll drop me off back here? Are we taking our own separate cars and meeting at the place so neither of us would have to come back here or….” he interrupted “Actually I was thinking we could walk there if you don’t mind, it's not that far and the weather is perfect, it's not too hot or cold and the breeze feels absolutely amazing. It doesn't even seem like it's almost winter it seems as if it's the beginning or mid-fall season. We could enjoy the weather and talk more on the way” he said looking unsure of what I would say about his idea. I honestly loved that idea, in a way it kind of sounded ro
Danny *knock*knock*I heard as I woke up to the sound of someone knocking at my door. I heard the sound of my door opening “Wake up sunshine, rise and shine it’s time for you to go. We’re switching shifts, I hope you did all your paperwork instead of leaving it to me” I heard a familiar annoying ass voice from behind me. I turned to find it was David Hicks the lieutenant of Squad 66 from the next shift. He laughed for a minute before continuing “By the way the chief wants to see you before you go” he said in a mischievous tone as he turned around and walked away. That guy is the bane of my existence, he gets on my nerves and my patience with him is getting real fucking thin. Unlike him, I don’t leave behind paperwork or half-ass my job like he does. I do all the shit I need to do during shift just so I could take my ass home on time, he’s the asshole that does that shit which is why I’m always doing paperwork because of his ass. I only had to stay and do paperwork once, we were swamp
Malia…. *knock*knock*knock*I quickly threw on my robe and rushed down the stairs to open the door, Mariah and I were supposed to be having a much-needed and deserved girl's day which we were having here at my home but she was here early. I had just got out of the shower and was just about to put clothes on, but in the spare of the moment I only had time to put on a robe. I opened the door with a smile on my face expecting it to be Mariah but that smile quickly disappeared when I was surprised by the sudden appearance of Danny who was on the other side of the door. “What are you doing here? I asked trying not to look at his chest which was showing from his black button-down shirt, he had 2 buttons undone so I was able to see enough of his chest. I could see his glistening firm pecks which made him look even sexier. He didn’t respond he just looked at me up and down licked his lips and smirked. Why the hell was he looking at me like that? Hasn’t he seen a woman in a robe before? I lo
Danny I yawned as I sat up on the sofa, I was so exhausted when I got home this morning from taking Dawson home that the moment I got home I collapsed on the sofa in the living room. I didn’t even have enough energy to make it to my bedroom. Why was I still tired? After wiping the sleep from my eyes I looked at the time. “because I only slept for 3 hours that’s why” I can’t believe this. Are you fucking kidding me I should still be asleep why in the hell am I woke right now? I usually don’t wake up until sometime afternoon. I got up from the couch and made my way to the kitchen. I might as well since I know I won’t be able to go back to sleep anytime soon. While I waited for my coffee to brew a sudden thought of Dawson came to Mind “I hope she had better sleep than I did” How long did she get that dog I don’t recall seeing or hearing anything related to a dog the night we slept together the night at the club. Oh the things I would give just to spend another night like that again, to
Danny. As we continued to talk I noticed we were close to a block away from the station to be specific. As I turned on the street of the station my entire mood changed once I noticed there was someone by Dawson's car. I couldn't see any clear features yet since we weren't that close but I could tell that It was a man and he was looking through the windows of her car. Who in the hell was this guy? and why the fuck was he looking through Dawson's car? Is he some rando or Did she know him? I glanced over at her but she was still talking, it didn't look like she noticed the guy in her car I'm not even sure that she knew we were already at the station. This guy could be dangerous, what if she's in trouble and he's looking for her? Just thinking about it made me mad. I pulled up behind her parked car "I'll be right back, STAY IN THE CAR" I ordered her to do before jumping out of my truck. By the looks of it, the guy was dense, he didn't even know that I had pulled up or that I was behind h
Danny Fuck! The dinner I had forgotten all about that damn dinner. Shit, I still need to go to the store and grab the ingredients and whatever else that was on the list that Mariah sent me Earlier. I had to go to the store, go home, and cook since Mariah insisted on a home-cooked meal but wasn't the one cooking it due to her being a terrible cook. I love my sister but never in my life will I ever taste her cooking again not even if the world was at stake or I was promised anything and everything I could possibly want. I had to go home and shovel and salt down the walk and driveway, start cooking, and hopefully squeeze in a long hot shower all before 7 which leaves me 6 hours and 15 minutes to get it all done. It was going to be tight but I could get it done I needed to be going now, so I took one last glance at Dawson before driving away. As I drove to the store my mind started to wander, so that was Daswson's supposedly other best friend huh, it was clear that he was doing more tha
Just as I was about to take the first bite of my sandwich my pager went off. "Damn it, wasn't even able to get in one bite this time". That's one thing about being an ER doctor even when you get a break you never really on your break. Quickly taking a big bite of my sandwich before wrapping it up and putting it back in the fridge before washing my hands and heading to the nurse's station. As I reached the desk, I waited for the head nurse Sandy to give me the rundown. Sandy was new to the position and was still getting the handle on things, even before she became head nurse, she was already acting like one. From bossing nurse's around to resolving employee conflicts, the difference was she had a lot more work to do and lots of paperwork. "What'd we got?" I asked. She responded to me after giving one of the nurse's orders "We got an incoming multi-victim car crash collision on a bridge, Paramedics reported sixteen victims. Four were fatal and were already deceased, and twelve were inju
