Chapter Thirty Two

NANCY'S POV

I woke up late from my long, dreamless sleep.

He was gone by the time I did, but I couldn't get over the fact that he'd come for me at all.

He's the reason I was able to sleep back after that horrible dream that I'd had last night.

It had felt so safe and secure in his arms, like nothing in this world could touch me in their security.

Not that I expect this to change anything between us.

I've learnt to curb my expectations when it comes to him.

It is safe and less painful.

I'm sure he's reverted back to Alpha Aaron by now.

Last night, he'd been Aaron, just Aaron, my nextdoor neighbor and my savior.

I dragged my tired body to the bathroom to brush, 'ready' to get ready and get out of my coop, take the day and my life.

I might be brave enough to finally talk to him about school today, who knows.
