'We are coming.'
Lina shuddered. The three ominous words that were written in red paint in the bathroom mirror kept on replaying in her head. They were like three pairs of eyes, staring at her, looking straight to her soul, telling her to run for they are coming. Her nightmares where a pack of dogs was running after her flashed in her head and she whimpered.
She pulled Eon's leather jacket's collar tighter around her neck. His scent that was clinging on the leather gave her comfort. Eon gave her his jacket when she wouldn't stop shaking the moment she saw the words of the people who were after her. Now, he is the one talking to the hotel management about what happened because she couldn't form a coherent sentence. Her words overlapped with each other, her voice shaking as well as her whole body, teeth chattering.
He was discussing the missing security footage with the chief of security of the hotel when he heard Lina whimpering and his heart was clenched in h
“So freaking annoying!”“You’ve been telling me that. You’re such an ungrateful b-”“What?!”Eon laughed when Lina snarled at her like an adorable, pissed-off pup. “..b-beautiful angel.” He grinned, chuckling to himself.“Jerk!” She crossed her arms over her chest. She has been throwing some tantrums for Eon was dead serious when he said that he would check the place she’s moving into to make sure that it was safe for her to stay. The reason why she was moving was to stay away from him and to try to change her lifestyle but now that he’s coming to see the house she’s renting, the main purpose of her move would be useless. Her deathly glare was returned with a chuckle and a wide smile that has been driving her insane for the last hour. Not only because it infuriates the hell out of her but mostly—she wanted to push him down and ride him.Eon knew t
Eon walked around Lina's apartment, surveying every nook which wasn't much since the place was quite small compared to penthouses where she used to stay. "Why did you stop staying in a hotel?" "And how did you know that I stay in a hotel?" She crocked her eyebrow. "I heard from Larissa," Eon turned his back to Lina for he was caught off guard with her question. He was just so curious about the sudden move that Lina did that he couldn't help but ask. "I didn't expect you to be a nosy brother." She scoffed. Eon exhaled a relieved sigh with what he heard because Larissa didn't tell him anything. He just lied because he was guilty that he had Lina investigated. And as much as possible, he didn't want her to know that piece of information. He casually walked to the threshold leading to the garden and put a miniature camera in a small crack on the wall. Since Lina refused any of his men to be around her, she even asked them to leave right af
The sound of the glass crashing the marble floor broke the silence of the room like a booming sound. The sound of the shattered glass was followed by explicit curses from Eon. Ehann stood rigidly next to the door, he was unmoving for he knew Eon's temper. He needed to release his anger first before he would talk. Thus, Eon is dangerous when he's angry. He let his rage consume him, his wolf taking over. The reason for Eon's outburst was the report of the investigation regarding Lina's kidnapping. The photos that were included in the report show Nikolas and his brother. Not only did the bastard bring drugs inside Luna when he knew that it was one of his rules not to, now he kidnapped Lina inside his club. "How accurate is this information?" Eon picked up the folder of documents that Ehann brought him first thing in the morning about the group that attempted to abduct Lina. "It's 99 percent accurate. They are the new group that has been trying to throw u
Lina was on her nth cup of coffee and she was on the last box of her stuff to open and fix. She had a good idea of what to do with her clothes because of what she did with the majority of them. When she checked her app on the online store, she got a lot of messages from those who already bought her old clothes, asking if she had more. Because of it, she dug into her clothes once again, separating all the clothes that she could sell, and ended up with almost seventy percent of her clothes to be sold. She left a message to her buyers that she had more clothes but she was currently indisposed that she would get back to posting new clothes after two days. What she did was throw in the empty boxes the clothes that she would sell and push them at the corner of the room. Her closet was left with lots of empty spaces and the thought of shopping for new clothes was enough to fuel her enthusiasm to have those clothes she no longer wanted to be sold online. The money she got, t
She set up her easel at the shady part of the garden and started to open a tube of paint and sighed. She doesn't really want to paint, but then, if she didn't do anything and just stayed inside her apartment, she would feel sleepy and that's the last thing she would want to do. However, running on caffeine for two straight days was easy. She had to put down the paintbrush she was holding because her hands were shaking. Yawning, she checked her phone. She didn't get to any club for just two nights and she got no message at all. It's like she no longer exists—everyone has already forgotten about her. She chuckled wryly. No matter where she moved, it's all the same. She's nothing. No one cares about her. Before she knew what was happening, she started splattering paint on the canvas using her bare hands. The paint mixed on its own as her hands moved without thought. She was simply staring blankly on the canvas. "That looks good." She jumped on her seat,
The sheer fabric of her white dress clung to her skin as the night breeze from the kitchen window blew in. Her hands shook as she poured herself another cup of black coffee. The only light in the room was from the glow of her phone screen and some of the garden lights that found their way inside the house from the open kitchen window. She didn't open any of her lights because she didn't want her landlady to know that she was still awake. She doesn’t want to sleep but her body, infused with too much caffeine, was already shaking. Her body started to feel tiredness and numbness from lack of sleep. She put down the coffee mug—afraid to break it too, just like the other mugs that are already in the trash bin. She knew that she had too much caffeine in her body and she must stop. And yet, the thought of falling asleep and being trapped in her nightmares was enough for her to pick up the cup of coffee despite the trembling of her hands and her body jerking to the crackl
“Father,” he whispered while his wolf whimpered in fear. Since he left the pack, he didn’t see his father. He only sent someone if he needed to tell him something, which was to return to the pack. It’s the only time that his father visited him and he has a feeling that whatever his intention was, it’s something that he won’t like. “Aegaeon,” he said in his deep, raspy voice due to smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. Eon flinched when he heard his name. No one called him by that name since he abandoned his pack and decided to live in this city many years ago. He straightened his back and got off from the barstool. “Let’s talk in my office.” He doesn’t want Lina to overhear whatever they are going to talk about. And since the information that another group with a wolf as a leader has been rampaging on his territory, he and his men were on full alert. “Stay for a while,” he turned to Lina, touching her elbow before he walked ahead to his office with his fathe
"Do you know that Father is here?" She snarked at the other person on the line. “Larissa, you know that your father kept most things to himself and his Beta was under the same order. So, the answer is no! I don’t know if Alpha Aaron will be there!” He snarled back at her, agitated. Everyone in the pack knows what was the reason why Alpha Aaron kept on pestering his son that had already abandoned their pack. He wanted his son to take the position of the Alpha. Everyone in the pack would also agree that Eon is the best candidate to be their next Alpha. If only he had a Luna and he didn’t leave the pack for a long time. He has been working in the pack the best he could to be considered as a candidate. That’s the only way he could go up in the hierarchy of being an Alpha since he won’t win if he would do the traditional way of being an Alpha. Alpha Aaron isn’t famous and feared Alpha for nothing. It won’t be easy to take the position from him in a fight. Thus, he
