Hello D.A.Y.Dreamers! Havva here, just letting you know that Chapters 1 up to this one are fully edited. :) I apologize if this chapter was too costly, I'll do my best to try and shorten them. You may have noticed that there are repetitive chapters but I assure you that they are continuation of the original chapter. I break them down, it's why there are so many chapters. I just don't want you guys to spend so much. Everytime I finished editing a chapter and uploading it, you'll know that that chapter is new (just edited) if I leave a note: "New!" That's all, thanks Darlings! <3
RONAN: It felt good that I finally told him. It's true, I blamed myself for leaving that night, but when I saw my father come out of his room, my heart stopped and I could feel my stomach churn in extreme discomfort. I wanted to go to him, but I couldn't bring myself to. I locked myself in my room for weeks. He held my hand when he reassured me that nothing happened and boy was I glad. I released a breath I didn't know I was holding. "Well, you can release that guilt of yours, because nothing happened. Thanks to you." Tentatively, I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him back. I felt him snuggle closer. 'He fits perfectly in my arms.' Eventually, we pulled away but our hands remained entwined as we resumed our trek through the forest. I was inordinately pleased Zannicus even remained close to me. "Are you really not going to tell me where we're going??" He asked with a little smile. I turned to him with a smile of my own, "A little impatient are we?" He just squinte
ZANNICUS: Hot. Too hot. I groaned, tossing around my bed as the sweltering heat seeped out from my body. I gasped and sat up, grimacing upon seeing that my clothes were drenched in sweat. I threw the blanket off in hopes for the cool air to alleviate the hot sensation, but to no avail. If anything, it just intensified causing me to squirm. I curled into a ball but then pain lanced through me causing me to yell out. I felt hot tears welling up in my eyes. My lips felt so dry. I moved to sit up but stopped when another pain flashed through me. I glanced at the clock, 'What?! It's just 12:47 am? What the-....Why am I-....Oh my Goddess. I'm in heat.' I screamed as another ripped through my body, this one I felt climb all the way up my spine! Fisting my blanket, I jumped when multiple bangs sounded through my door. This time, panic ensued my entire being accompanied with me taking heaving breaths. My heart stopped as dread filled me upon hearing low growls and grunts from outside my
SETH: Nic resembled a starfish as he sprawled out on the couch in the living room where we were resting. I was in a similar fashion as Nic's and it's currently six in the morning. Nic rubbed his face with a tired groan while I sighed for the umpteenth time and rolled my shoulder. The scratch marks on my arm and on Nic's chin has healed. What a night. When I heard that feral growl, I had fallen off my bed with a yelp and Nic bursted through my door a minute later. As soon as we exchanged looks of understanding, we sprinted down towards Zannie's room. Nic was roused awake by sounds of banging, he said. It was a miracle that the other pack members that reside in the second, third and fourth floors slept through the entire commotion. Ronan's roar should've woken them all up. We skidded to a stop to the sight of a feral, half-shifted Ronan standing protectively over a whimpering, trembling Zannicus on the floor. Ronan kept the men away but when two lunged towards an unsuspecting Ronan f
And with that, I cut the mind link off and found Zannicus looking at me with a half hearted smile. I raised my eyebrows in question. "Take it easy on them. It's been quite a while since they've trained. Start from the very beginning then work your way back up." "Still, its no excuse for them to laze off. Just because I've been taking easy on them since we started doesn't mean they should use it to their advantage." I frowned. "Well, that's on them. It was their choice on not training to keep in shape. Unlike you, Nic, Seth, Gabe, Isaac and Francis, you kept training so you won't lose the ability to fight. Yes, its no excuse and they should've been prepared. But its been a long time since we had a rogue attack, 9 years to be exact. So you can't really blame them for not relaxing." I looked down in contemplation. He took my hand and nudged me, "I said I'd join you in training correct? Then let me help. We just have to work together. It'll take longer the more you force them." He lo
NIC: After taking a nice long awaited shower. I jogged back downstairs and towards the kitchen where chattering could be heard. I sat down between Seth and Gabe. Gabe- who was on my left -is busy stuffing food in his mouth. I looked over to my right, at Seth to find him silent and staring blankly into space. Frowning, I gently nudged him, successfully snapping him out of his daze. He raised his brows in question. "You okay?" He nodded and gave a weak smile then returned back to his dazed state. A plate was placed in front of me and I smiled at Zannie as thanks and he returned one. Zannicus truly is more beautiful when he smiles. Everyone is beautiful when they're happy. I immediately dug in and moaned at the taste. "Ronan, are you going to train tomorrow?" Zannicus asked so casually it left us stupefied. Even Gabe put a halt in demolishing his food. Especially addressing Ronan by his given name, wow. "Yes Zannie. Will you be joining us?" Everyone gaped at Ronan's smile, the fo
Before they even had the chance to sink their fangs on their unsuspecting preys, I roared, their heads snapping towards me while the mother shouted in alarm and stumbled back pulling her child close to her, ducking when an explosion erupted from their house. One snarled and rushed forward, I side stepped him, stretching my arm and clawing at his throat in the process hearing a loud thud as his body fell to the ground. The other tackled me and bit me in the shoulder. Gritting my teeth, I wrapped my legs around his ribs and squeezed with all my might. He howled in pain but he bit down harder. I grabbed his head and did the same thing. He continued to whine and howl as I squeezed before a satisfying scrunch was heard. I pushed him off with a yell and rushed towards the woman who jumped in fright when I touched her. "Come! Follow me and stay close!!" She nodded then clutched my arms as I scooped the child up in my arms. But she tugged me back, "But what about my husband and son?" She
RONAN: Who's ringing a bell? I can't hear anything. But I do feel my heart has stopped for a moment when I saw my Zannicus standing in the middle of the field; doused in blood that I am unable verify if it belongs to him or not and two bodies of rogues around him. One; whose back was ripped open and the other headless. The second he fell to the ground, before my mind could comprehend anything else, I found myself sprinting towards Zannicus. Sound popped back into my ears the same way after coming down after a long flight. As panic ensued my entire being, I didn't let that stop me and carried my mate bridal style all the way back to the house. Nic and Seth ran alongside me, calling out his name but there was no response. Upon arriving, everyone inside skidded into a halt upon seeing a bleeding, unconscious Zannicus in my arms. One of the women fixed up a couch and gestured me to put him down. I gently set him down, grimacing upon closer inspection of his arm and shoulder. Then he
RONAN: Rage filled my entire being. "WHAT THE F*CK?! DYLAN? WHA-?...HOW?! WHY?!" Nic exclaimed loudly in complete and utter disbelief and with barely concealed anger as the rest of the gang mirrored the same expression I have. "It makes sense. Dylan is almost like the Third-in-command. He knows everything as much as Seth and Francis does. The schedule of the patrols, curfew and also-......the training." Zannicus said as his eyebrows furrowed but eyes slowly widening in revelation. "The day you and Zannicus returned, after you mind linked us," Francis pointed at Ronan, "I thought I saw something. Like a faint shadow from the trees. Just like the time we first got there. I felt as though-....." Francis spoke and trailed off. "...-someone was watching us. I felt it too. The second day of training, I saw a faint blond hair hiding in the trees. I brushed it off thinking it was nothing. But apparently I was wrong." Isaac finished. "He's been reporting to whoever their leader is; watchi
