Chapter 26 - Kiss

'ZAVAN!'

I gasped even more after I remembered the things my grandmother had told me. After all it was fairytale to me back then, I didn't know that such fairytale exist in a harder situation and unexpected time. Though short of breath, I dive into the very deep water and strained to reach Zavan.

Time became slow, Zavan became even more difficult to reach. It was unconscious as he was being carried by two mermaids who's constantly moving away from me. Good thing I brought my weapons with me. Though with great difficulty, I took a bow and pointed it at a siren.

I aimed my bow and arrow. The movement of the arrow under the water was slow, but the red liquid filled the mermaid after I hit it. They also have blood. The other mermaid seemed to be scared so it swam away from me. Before it could call some of its companions, I took that opportunity to pick up the unconscious Prince.
