130: Tell Me The Truth

“Lucian is fine.” Dad said, squeezing my shoulders gently.

Probably for the first time in my life, I doubted him. He looked like he was saying the truth and on any other day I would have believed him. But things aren’t adding up.

Lucian went missing and suddenly he is here. From Revdville all the way to Cuba and he wants to tell me nothing is done? I’m not a child and I’m not stupid either.

“Why are you here if you know he is fine?” I asked, the accusation clearing my tone.

“Can we sit first?” I shook my head adamantly.

“Blair, please.” He speaks in that fatherly tone and cupped my cheeks. “For your health, you shouldn’t be stressing yourself.”

That made me cave and I took the seat like he suggested.

“I’m seated. Now tell me what is going on.” I sounded like a demanding brat and he would have called me out on it any other day. But he let it slide, seeing how shaken I was.
