James was beyond annoyed. He sat at his desk next to his partner and looked at the closed file of carella Mink- Carella Jones- on his desk. How could everything be clean. Maybe someone tiped her off. Maybe she had everything cleaned before they went to her house.
James couldn't let go of the fact that she bothered him too much. He had always been the one to listen to his guts. And his guts has never been wrong. But this time, it's as if, that gut feeling doesn't quite know what to process. Doneld on the other hand seemed to think that Carella was not guilty but that doesn't mean she was not connected some how. As he was roaming the files he could find on the so called best hostage negotiator, he came across a paper. It was her birth certificate. Finally. He thought to himself. It was impossible to find anything on Carella Jones. All there was publicaly was few articles that were written seven years ago. Most of the magezines at that time only spoke of Carella and Kanzel. But after a while, they stopped. The media went silent on that matter. Doneld asked an old buddy of his, Armend Stiew to collect every information about Carella Jones before and after that explosion. It took his friend a while, but he never disappoints.Doneld didn't know how Armend did it, but he collected most of the articles writen at that time, every mission she had done and her birth certificate as well. The articles were mostly about how Carella disapeared after the explosion and all the failed attempts made to find her.The missions she had done were always a success story, that is until Kanzel. It says in the file that after the police got Carella out of the ruins of the house, they took her to the hospital. But she refused to stay hospitalized and some one picked her up. That some one was Mark- the man in the black suit- everything about him was also in the file. The story about how they met and how she took him in as well. After Carella recovered, she handed in her redignation letters and disapeared from the eyes of the public. Few month later, she married her boyfriend, a man she had been dating for three years in a secret ceremony and gave birth to their son. After their marriage, Carella took his last name and changed hers from Jones to Mink. Her husband died in a car accident just months after Carella gave birth. After that, she invested her money in her garden and raised her own buisness. At the end of the file was the life she had before the explosion. As soon as Doneld read the first words that caught his eyes, he shote out of his seat. "An orphan!" He exclaimed looking at james.James, who was still riding his train of thought, looked at Doneld with confussion. "Who?" He asked his partner. Doneld setteled down on his seat. "Carella Jones. She is an Orphan. It says here that her mother ran away from her husband and took Carella with her. It says they have been on the ran for a while until her mother left her at the steps of an orphanage intown. Her mother pretty much disapeared after that. She never came back to look for her." Doneld paused as he looked through the file, then he spoke again. He wrinkeled his face at the paper. "Uff...she had a pretty bad life growing up at that orphanage too. Bullied...over worked...kidnaped...sexcual assult...she left when she turned eighteen..." James cuts him off "Aren't most of Kanzels' dealers orphans?" Doneld looked up from the file to his partner to answer the question "yes, but just because she is an orphan doesn't mean she is one of his dealers."Doneld looked back to his file and continued reading. The next he read out shocked both the agents."Listen to this. Carella was not born blind. It was after she got kidnaped that she lost her sight. No specific reason as to what happened...but she sure wasn't blind until she was fourteen!" Carella had forgotten about her mother until the day she became one herself. It was when she had her son, that she thought of her mother. She doesn't remember much about her. Just her voice and her hazel eyes were all that remained in her memories. But she had absolutely no memory of her father. All she knows is what she was told. And she was told that her father was so abusive, her mother ran away with her so Carella wouldn't suffer his crulness as well. But the life her mother left her to was no different from the one she protected her from. The kids in that orphanage were mean to her and the elders didn't care but to keep on working her until she was exhuasted to her bones. She had been kidnaped by human traficers and was saved from the verge of sexcual assult. She even lost her abilities to see that fatefull night. Sometimes she wondered if her mom should have just left her with her father. In her eyes, it was her mother that was cruel, not her father. After years of lonely days, Kalven Mink was the man that saved her. Her upside down life was finally better after she met the love of her life. But he also was taken from her. Her heart has been bleeding for years and that cut would have been the last to kill her but she had her son. Brian was her world now. And the fear of lossing him too scares her more than anything. Life has always been too cruel to her that she was afraid her son will be taken from her too. "Do you think they know?" Carella asked Mark, who was sitting across from her, reading a book.He looked up to her knowing what she was asking him. She has kept that secret for seven years well. "No. It is impossible for anyone to know."His words did comfort her. She had worked hard to hide that secret. Seven years ago, she had learned something she shouldn't have the day of the explosion. It is a secret that could cost her her life. If Kanzel or any of his goons find out that she knows, they would hunt her down for sure. So for the last seven years, she had been living a lie. That secret has been killing her inside day by day. At night, that secret steals her sleep. Unless she holds her son in her arms, she keeps on remembering it.
Carella waited in patience for Heather to speak. At first, Carella wanted to tell the other woman to turn around and walk out of her house. What ever happened to mama Sophia should not be connected to her in anyway. Because, if Carella really was the reason her mama Sophia got murdered, then she would never forgive herself. But, of she doesn't turn Heather away, then, not knowing what the other woman was about to tell her would probably haunt her for the rest of her life. So, Carella took a deep breath and waited for Heather to speak.Heather cleared her throat."Carella, thank you for deciding to listen to me..." Heather hesitantly looked at Mark, who was standing right behind Carella like he always does and cleared her throat again."I... I actually came here to do a story about the Kanzel and his missing case related to you but, Mama Sophia's death has been bothering me a lot..."Listen, you and i both know that Mama Sophia would never jave enemies and her murder was so sudden.
Mark looked at Carella as she excitedly sighed the papers her distributer handed her. Mark held her hand to position it over the space she is supposed to sighed and pressed her pen lightly against the paper.Taking that as he cue, Carella signed her signature and handed the distributer the paper back. Mark watched the men load all the prepared flowers in the back of the container and drive away."They're gone." Mark commented and Carella nodded her head."Finally." She whispered as she tried to hold her tears back. It felt impossible to get back to distributing her flowers in the past couple of month. Most of her clients had left her for another distributer and some had even threatened to sue her for not delivering. Mark had to take care of those threats and tried to help her keep her clients. But, only few loyal ones' remained as her client.Even though the loss of so many clients had really knocked Carella to a sore mood, she worked hard each day to take care of her flowers an
Kanzel looked at the pictures on top of his desk with a full force frown on his face.It was a picture of Carella Jones walking with her son Brian and the man that was always by her side Mark. Kanzel studied the picture well until his head started to pound. Why does he always gets mix feeling when ever he looks at the blind woman with her son? And why does that blind woman remind him so much of the woman he lost?Kanzel sighed and leaned back on his chair with Carellas' picture still in his hand. His eyes then shifted to the picture frame on his desk. He hated the mixed feelings he was experiencing. But, as one of his me came knocking on his office door, he slipped Carellas' picture into his top drawer and invited the knocker to come in.One of his men came in, dragging a very thin boy and dropped him at the center of the room.Kanzel raised his left brow at the man he had sent to bring him the drug dealer that was threatening to take his customers away."What do you expect me to do
"Wait!"Heather called out and stopped Luther from leavingHe turned around to look at her with pupy eyes and she sighed after looking down at the folder he just gave her.She sighed again before turning around to unlock her door and walk in. She left the door wide open as she went inside and Luther took it as invitation to follow her in.He softly closed the door and looked around to find he appartment messy. Just like the old days.Luther smiled as he moved around the living room to pick up her clothes that were lying all over the place and dumped them in a basket near her washer. Then, he continued on to go through her kitchen and organize her messy dishes while waiting for her to come out.Heather changed of her dress and sat on her bed while looking at the folder her gave her. She didn't have to look at him to know what he was doing. If he is still the guy she remembered, then he would probably be cleaning her house.Heather smiled at the
Heather looked at herself through length mirror as she turned from side to side to get different angles. She wore a red skin tight dress that drops down to her knee with a low cut at her cleveage.Heather realised her hair from the bun and pulled it over her left shoulder. Then she pulled it over to her right, wondering which side would be better. It has been almost two hours since she started getting ready and is still yet to choose the dress. She has tried mini-skirt, long evening gown, short shorts with hot pink tank top...all her clothes were laying on her bed and some on the floor of her room as she goes through them again to look for the perfect thing to wear to her date.Date? Since when did she get excited to see her ex? This is nothing but a business meeting and she promised herself not to make anything out of it. She has spent the last decade turning Luther down, why would she accept him now?Heather shook her head as she took off the red dres
It looks like some woman was there the night sophia was killed.Heather thought to herself as she looked at the security feed she got from a shop across the street from sophia's herb shop. But who the hell is she? And why does she look familiar?Heather tried to zoom in but the video was too blur to make out the face of the woman. Heather made a frustrated voice as she spined herself in circles on her chair.Heather already knows that this is not a robbery because the killer didn't take anything from the shop. All the money and herbs haven't been touched. If it was a robery, why would they kill a blind woman when she can't even see who they are.Heather played the video again for the tenth time and narrowed her eyes to look closer. The woman on the video entered the store and left with in five minutes and her steps were faster when she walked out. After the woman left, no one else came to Sophia's shop until one of her clients passed by and saw her on t
