“Dad?” I knocked on his office door before entering.

“There you are. Have a seat,” he said casually. I was taken aback by how calm he was. This wasn’t what I expected at all. I thought they’d be panicking, busy dealing with the crisis, but it didn’t seem like anything serious was going on.
