3-An Unexpected Encounter

Damon

It was now Saturday. I got Sophia ready and then we made our way out.

Our first stop was the park. I had to go undercover cause if I don't. Well, it will be chaos. Usually when someone recognizes me, I end up hiding in the first place I see a door open. One time I ended up in a garbage can. It was not pretty. But I had to hide from paparazzi, screaming girls and boys.

"Daddy, let's go to the swings." She said while grabbing my hand dragging me to them. I placed her in the swings and then she started to move her little legs to move the swing. I smiled. It's been a while since we had a day out. After he park, I took her to this amazing bakery. We took our seat and waited for someone to attend us.

"Hello what can I get you?" The waiter asked.

"Hi mister, I want a vanilla cupcake and chocolate milk, and daddy will have the same." She giggled causing the waiter to chuckle.

"Instead of chocolate milk, I'll have a coffee. Thanks." With that said he went to get our orders.

No one recognizes Sophia, cause I never put her in the spotlight. I wanted her to be normal. She goes to a private school.

Our orders came and we started to eat. Well I ate, she smashed cupcake all over her face.

"Daddy, thank you for today. You're the best." She said before licking her little hand that had frosting. I couldn't help but chuckle at her mess. While most parents would be mad or embarrassed, I wasn't. I love seeing her having fun, even if it meant her making a mess.

"Welcome, baby girl." I smiled. Once we finished eating. I took her to the bathroom and cleaned her face. After she was clean, I paid for our stuff and then left. As I was walking to my car. Someone recognized me. Shit.

"Everyone, Damon Anderson is here. And he's with a little cutie." A girl yelled and before I knew it, a big crowd came running. I picked up Sophia and made a run. There was a nice neighborhood down the block, I hope they have their doors open.

Bailey

Afer classes I made my way home. Luckily, I just had one class today. I got off the car and opened my door. As soon as I was about to enter, a dude with a toddler entered my house and dragged me in the process.

"Dude, what the hell!"

"So- rry." He said as he tried catching his breath.

"Phew daddy, you did it." She giggled while hugging his leg. I couldn't help but chuckle. She was so cute.

"Okay, why are you here? And who are you?" I asked with crossed arms.

"Okay, just please don't scream or call anyone." He answered before taking his sunglasses and hat off.

"You're Damon Anderson. Wait, what are you doing in this neighborhood? And you have a daughter!?"

"I'm Sophia. Nice to meet you lady." She said while extending her little arm.

"I'm Bailey." I shook her hand.

"Sorry for entering your house like that. I was being chased by a big crowd. All I wanted was a normal day with my daughter." He sighed as he sat on my couch. Sophia joined him and sat next to him.

"You kept her a secret?"

"Yeah, I didn't want her to be in the spotlight. I want her to be normal. But I'm guessing that's about to change." He sighed.

A few minutes later my parents came inside and saw us. "I don't remember having a grandkid." Mom said causing Damon to laugh. He Introduced himself. Though that wasn't necessary. Mom loves his movies.

She invited him to stay for dinner. He said yes. He was actually very down to earth. It was nice to see that at least one actor was nice and normal. Most famous people are fake. If only Sarah knew about this she would be here in a heartbeat.

After dinner, my parents said they were going out with their friends. Mom told Damon and Sophia that they were both welcome here anytime.

"Thanks for having your door open today." He smiled while extending his hand.

"Welcome. Doors are always open." I smiled back as I shook his hand. There was something about his touch. Okay snap out of it.

"Bye, Bailey."

"Bye, Sophia. It was nice to meet you." I replied. She gave me a hug and then grabbed his dad's hand.

"Oh wait, my car is at the bakery that's just a block away. Think you can give me a lift? Normally I would walk, but Sophia is with me. I don't want her out this late."

"Of course. Let me go get my keys." I said before leaving the living room.

"Psst daddy, I like her." She whispered to him. He just smiled.

"Let's hit the long road that's 2 minutes in car." I said causing them to laugh. We left my house and got in my car. I drove them to the bakery and then said bye to them. It was nice while it lasted. I went home and then straight to bed. I was in for a big surprise tomorrow.
