Long after the final member left the training ground, Damon and Knox sat beside Judah's body. He looked peaceful in death, but they didn't feel peace. Instead, the weight settled heavily on both shoulders now, instead of three- the way it used to be.
"I didn't have a choice," Knox kept muttering, staring at his hands in shock, and Damon didn't know how to make things right for him.
The smell of rain was in the air, mixed with the scent of arterial blood, and Damon felt sick to his gut. How were they supposed to move forward from this?
