Chapter 123: Leaving Orsica
Flora heaved a sigh of relief as she closed the library door behind her. She rested her back on the door and was surprised at what she saw. The whole panel of the bookshelf that hid the passageway was wide open. Flora noticed, however, that only a few pin lights were on and served to illuminate the floor, unlike the last time that she saw it.
At almost the same time, Flora felt a loud bang on the library door and heard Pablo’s voice from outside.
“I know you’re there, Flora! Come out of the library now!” shouted Pablo as he tried to open the door. He managed to open it just a crack and would have succeeded to open it if not for Flora pushing back.
Flora was alarmed and pushed the door back with all her might. Gringo, seeing what was happening, immediately left Jon’s side to likewise push at the door with his back.
“You know you can never leave the island. You might as well come out now and surrender to me,”
