Amira's P. O. V

Good morning, ma'am," Cynthia said, smiling sweetly. I was a bit surprised, but I liked her. She exuded a peaceful aura, instantly putting me at ease more than Alvera did.

I smiled back and welcomed her. "You can feel at home, Cynthia," I said to her and went to the dining room. In no time, she brought in my food.

As I opened it, the aroma spread throughout the room. Not only was she lovable, but she was also a very good cook. I knew instantly that I was going to form a lasting bond with her.

While eating, something struck me: Morris tries to act as if he doesn't care about me, yet he keeps bringing people to help me in the house. I smiled; he really cares about me, even though he tries not to show it.

I was almost done eating when I started choking. Someone grabbed me and used the Heimlich maneuver until I spit out the food. I reached for the water and, while drinking it, Morris sat down at the table in front of me.

My eyes bulged from their sockets when I saw him.
