Chapter 8

Morris's Point of View (POV):

As I entered my office, Michael was already waiting for me. He had a lot to update me on.

"Boss, Alvera managed to get hold of a knife. She tried to kill herself, but she didn't succeed. We managed to intervene before it was too late. She's currently being treated by the doctor and will regain consciousness soon," Michael reported immediately.

I smiled. This wasn't something new to me. I knew she would rather die than reveal the truth about her boss.

"Where did you find her?" "The New one" I asked.

"She's Alex's sister," he responded.

"Alex? The driver?" I asked to confirm.

He nodded.

"My mom is in town and wants to see Amira. She might ask about you. I've already warned you not to call me 'boss,' but today, it's absolutely crucial that you do not call me that in front of my mom. We're going to have a family dinner," I told him firmly.

"Yes, boss," he said.

"Watch out for Simon. He might be in town. Make sure to track his movements if he's spotted here. H
