Amira's P.O.V.

We started eating, and boy was she a good cook. The spaghetti tasted heavenly, and I was gobbling it down as if I was in a hurry.

I was still seriously eating when Simon asked me a question that made both Morris and me stiffen. "How did you meet each other, sis?"

I looked at Morris, but he was so fixated on his food. How was I going to answer this question now? How should I tell them that I met Morris for the first time on our wedding day?

"How we met is complicated," I replied, looking at my food, avoiding any form of eye contact.

"How is it complicated? We are family; you can tell us anything, right, Mom?" Simon asked his mom. She nodded in affirmation.

"Come on, Mom, let's eat and leave Amira alone. I knew Amira even before she got to know me," Morris replied to his mom without lifting his face off his food.
