Morris's P.O.V

Amira gave him a response that I didn't even hear because I was so engrossed in my thoughts. I soon snapped out of it and replied to him.

He tried to make my mom see reasons why Amira should tell him where we met and how. Amira gave a response I didn't hear because I was thinking of how to handle him.

"Come on, Mom, let's eat and leave Amira alone. I knew Amira even before we got married," I said, trying to divert the attention from Amira. I was disgusted at how my brother could stoop so low.

We resumed eating when my mom broke the silence by asking about the whereabouts of Micheal. We arrived here together, but he didn't come inside with us.

Being the person he was, Simon replied to the question by saying, "Michael was busy running my dirty businesses for me."

It took a lot of self-control not to lunge at him and beat him to a pulp. I slightly folded my hands to resist the urge.
