As her realm's Sole Redeemer, she had the responsibility of protecting everyone from the upcoming danger. But despite having a magnificent amount of zest to counter their enemies, Ligaya could still only do so much without her true zest level. In order to bring her total zest back, she ventured out into the human world to find the one person who's responsible for her incapacity and bring that person with her to their realm to defeat the enemies. One's intention was different from the other and it all made everything messed up. The human world was so much different from where Ligaya came from and V was making her situation more troublesome. View MoreIntramurals had been the most anticipated event in Sinatra University. Aside from the fun and excitement brought about by the various games it had, it was also the time of the year when almost all the famous and good-looking students usually exposed themselves readily to the eyes of their supporters and admirers.
Being known to be the home of champions and "Mr. Universes", the College of Engineering and Architecture had achieved that utmost reputation of having the most number of supporters, may it be from their own college or from another. That day, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, when the sun shone the most painful, almost everyone who was involved in Sinatra had gathered together inside the massive Sinatra Gymnasium to witness the final basketball game between the two rival colleges: the College of Business and Governance and the College of Engineering and Architecture. These two had been rivals of all rivals since 2005 and it would really shock everybody if the friction between them had lessened overtime. Of course, it had not, as manifested by the various chants and booing inside the arena from both their supporters. Some of their supporters even brought with them both handmade and ready-made paraphernalia just to show their loyalty to whichever team they were supporting. Almost everyone was already ready, even the players from the Business and Governance were already warming up inside the court. However, the Engineering team had not arrived yet, which, by no means, worried their supporters. For goodness' sake! They had been Sinatra University's basketball's champion for four consecutive years and their supporters were not really in the mood of giving the honor to other colleges, especially to their rival college, the College of Business and Governance. But it seemed like this year, unfortunately, they were running out of time. The referee who was somehow a fan of those players tried to wait for them for a couple of seconds. But then again, no players from the College of Engineering and Architecture had arrived. And even though it was disappointing on his part, he still had to do his job, fairly and squarely. This time, he was already approaching the announcing area and was probably ready to announce the victory by default of the other team. Luckily, just in time, as if it was a scene from an action movie, the whole team of Engineering basketball players showed up with their team captain, Vaness Brandon "V" Jalandoni, at their lead. All were in no doubt pretty boys, but got a little or perhaps totally messed up. Bruises and bloodstains were seen both on their bare skins, especially on their faces, and on their uniforms, which definitely made everyone furrowed their eyebrows. Where on earth had they been?Their coach, Coach Jared, tried to call them to ask what happened to their appearances and to somehow give them a little sermon for their tardiness. But no one among the team members glanced on his direction, not even one, for all of them really looked agitated and disturbed. Hands curling into fists and feet walking so fast toward the other team's direction, these men meant business. All of them were ready to fight and ready to destroy. The Business and Governance's team captain, Miko Alcantara looked slightly appalled by the engineering's appearance, but pretended to welcome them with a smile and greeted them."Hey V, what took y-"
But before he could finish his sentence, he was stopped in the middle of it by a deadly punch by V."What the hell?!" Miko shouted and tried to punch back but he was beaten by V to it. V punched him again on his face, and it was in that moment that the signal for the school year's basketball court riot was made. A lot of people, coaches, security guards, and announcers tried to stop the commotion. Some of them even tried to call the police because the fans from both teams were also joining in the fight. Describing the gymnasium as a mess was an understatement. It was a sight to behold. Fortunately, after so many attempts of stopping the riot, the security guards and even the teachers were finally able to drag each member of the teams out of reach from one another. V was dragged by his coach out of the commotion while the others were pulled by some of the security guards. A couple of seconds after, the commotion somehow subsided and all the players were now heading outside, together with all the other people who were involved to settle things out. V was one of them. But before he finally got out, with coach Jared trying so hard to drag him, his eyes caught sight of a very pale young lady in a somewhat black hippie-like attire with no slippers on her feet. She was so strange that even the other members of the team and some of their supporters took notice of her. She was just standing serenely at the corner while looking at the sight before her. And her eyes, which seemed to lack of any emotion, now turned to V's direction. They caught each other's eyes for a few seconds, and for the first time since earlier, weirdly, V finally got into his senses. He suddenly became aware of what they had just done and what was currently happening. And into his mind, he shouted, 'shit!'He finally broke from the stare and looked at the commotion. Everything's messed up. A lot of people, even those who were not directly involved got into trouble because of that one punch from him that started it all. But he got more annoyed by the fact that he was not really the one who really caused it in the first place; it was because of some dirty actions made by their opponents. He tried to calm down and think. But it just seemed weird to him that after some time, when he glanced back at the lady's direction, the lady was still looking at him. He felt awkward, of course, who wouldn't anyway? So he decided to just ignore her and continued walking till they reached the outside of the gymnasium and finally proceeded to the Dean's office.
After reminding Ligaya to stay still, V immediately made his way to counterattack the other guys. It was now getting dark so he made his move very carefully. But the attackers were now running away in there car. He shoot and shoot until the tires of the other guys' car exploded. He ran as fast as he could to catch the guys. Turned out, they didn't have any bullets left anymore, V as well. They went out of their car to face him and he was more than prepared to counter them. Two guys began to attack him and he countered them with kicks and punches as well. Three more added into the scene, which made it impossible for V to balance everything now.He was hit by the tallest guy of the group and was seconded by the man beside him. As they made a dirty trick and were about to hit the gun on him, the guy who was about to do it was hit by a tiny arrow on his neck, thus making him collapsed. They all looked at the origin of the arrow and saw a girl approaching the scene. It was Li
V followed Ligaya to the living room. Although he didn't want to apologize, he just felt a little guilty after somehow mocking a situation that seemed personal to Ligaya."Hey, I was just kidding. Are you mad? Where are you going?" He asked simultaneously."Writing an excuse letter. We still need to take the test." Ligaya answered casually."Oh? Why the hell?"This time, she did not answer but continued writing nonetheless."Let me do it." V offered"Why?""Why not?. . . Fine! Just so you know, they don't accept hand-written ones." V said matter-of-factly. Ligaya paused, contemplating, and then finally gave in."Fine." She just said and stood up.She went upstairs and V went upstairs as well, but none of them talked along their way. As they went inside each of their rooms, V felt uneasy. Why the hell would
After V woke her up in the car, Ligaya did not bother to eat anymore. None of them bothered to eat actually. They were too full to take in another meal. As they went inside, Ligaya immediately went to the kitchen where she would usually sleep while V went upstairs. -----------------The house was dark and silent. Ligaya, who was just sleeping on the long wooden chair in the kitchen was having a good rest, until midnight, when everything went colder and darker than usual. It made Ligaya semiconscious and opened her eyes a bit. But instead of seeing nothing but an empty dark kitchen, a silhouette of someone in a robe appeared standing before her. This immediately triggered all her senses. Thus, within a split second, she was able to throw one of the beads from her bracelet to the man as she sat upright. The impact of the bead caused an explosion since her accessories were actually mi
After eating and buying some school stuff for Ligaya, V and her finally decided to go home. While driving, a sudden thought came into V's mind."Oh shit," V cursed under his breath. There was slight hint of annoyance in his face."What's wrong?" She asked. Although, unlike her question, it seemed like she did not care at all as to what was wrong."We forgot to buy something.""No, we didn't.""We did. We didn't buy your....you know.""You mean those small pieces of cloth that are used to support the bosom and the gentalia?""Well, yeah. And I shouldn't be discussing this thing with you, for Pete's sake, you idiot!""Don't worry, I asked the lady earlier if they have some of those while you were away and they gave me some of it. I didn't know it comes with different designs. And they really look thin and uncomfortable to use.""What do you mean? Oh, just forget about it. Don't answer my question."&nbs
Few minutes passed by after V left the mall's men's section, he now had reached the place where he's heading to, the basement. There were 2 people waiting for him there, but they seemed to know each other as they nodded to one another's direction. One of them handed V a pistol, but V just refused to have it."Who the fuck are you kidding? We don't need guns for amateurs," he sounded authoritatively, thus making the two placed their guns at there side as they went to where the crime scene was taking place. As they approached, three men were seen setting a time bomb at one of the cars in the basement, and they seemed to pick the particular car intentionally."Doing some nasty things, huh, little ones?" V asked the three men seriously."What are you..who are you?!" The man at the back spoke angrily. They were now pointing their guns at V and his companions. But instead of freaking out, V and his men just stood there coolly an
Inside Sinatra University were numerous buildings of assorted shapes and sizes. Few of them were the university's very own dormitories. There were four dormitories all in all. Two Kinetic (big) dorms, one for boys and one for girls; then two Potential (small) dorms, one for boys and one for girls as well.Kinetic Dormitories were designed for everyone from all walks of life who wanted to experience the Sinatra life more than ever, or those who were not originally from that city, while the Potential Dormitories were designed for scholarship recipients and such. Mia was one of them. The dorm she's living in was called the Tuberose Potential Dormitory. It was situated near the university's scholarship building and across the Nursing Department, thus making it a perfect place for her. Aside from its ideal distance to her department, it was also an ideal place for every student to even develop camaraderie since it's smaller than the usual dormitory size, as well as more homey
