Chapter 9

This morning I woke up late since Liam wasn't in the house. I grabbed a towel, slowly slipped off my jammies and stepped into the shower. The hot water felt good as it made its way down my body. It was so cold today that I put the water on extra hot to keep warm. I got out of the shower with a shiver and raced to get some warm clothes on, dried my hair and set off to get some pumpkin coffee. Feeling relieved that I bundled up today; I jumped onto my bike and began to pedal towards the coffee shop.

Taking the trail as usual because it’s the safest route, I admired the trees and falling leaves as I passed by all the friendly faces who greeted me with a smile. I smiled back to acknowledge my hello and pedaled onward. The Lackawanna River flowed right alongside the trail, which was an added pleasure. I love the sound of running water. It was about eight miles to the coffee shop so I endure a good workout on a daily basis only to achieve my goal of obtaining that delicious cup of coffee t
