Victoria Returns

Victoria stood at the backstage feeling nervous, she would soon be introduced to her new colleagues, she knows her ex husband works here also, in as much she had hated him for the past two years, but that didn't stop her from knowing all his daily activities and engagement. She came to seek the revenge she desired for the past two years. Her only prayer is that God should help her through, because she knows how irresistible and domineering he can be... After some minutes of contemplating if she should go ahead or not, she heard Mr Elijah, the manager of AZ organization introduce her to everyone.

"We have a new staff, that just got recruited a week ago. "She is joining us today, and i decided to introduce and make her known to every one of you here at the company's dinner party today.

"I hope you all get along and make her feel at home. "She is no other than Miss Victoria Smith, the new Human resource manager" Mr Elijah Trump, the manager of AZ organization announced. Everyone heard the sound of a silhouette strapless glass heels clicking on the tiled floor as she walked in; looking very beautiful, enchanting, and different with a charming smile and elegance. The fire in her eyes and appearance attracted all eyes to her and threw them off balance.

"Is this a goddess?" Is she human? was a question found on everyone's lips, as they couldn't remove their eyes from the almost perfect beauty that stood on the podium smiling beautifully at them.

"victoria!" Frank exclaimed not believing his eyes.

"Hello everyone, I hope we all get along. "I am Victoria Smith, the new Human Resource manager," Victoria said with grace and glamour.

"She looks so sweet" someone echoed.

"You do have eyes for better things boss," another said.

"You are welcome," hottie! Another echoed.

"I hope we collaborate with each other, i am the best man you can ever find here, if you are single though," another person said from the crowd.

"Put yourselves together, you are embarrassing her already" Mr Elijah said taking the mic from the already embarrassed blushing Victoria.

"She appreciates your compliments but you have to know your status in this organization. She is much higher than almost all of you here,"show her some respect and don't go about harassing her.

"Any of such reports won't be condoned and the person would be fired with immediate effect. "Am I understood?.

"Yes Boss!" Everyone chorused except the already jealous female staffs, who felt inferior and stared at Victoria with anger.

"I will now give a room for her to exchange formalities with you all," i hope the rules would be adhered to. "Enjoy your dinner everyone," Mr Elijah announced and opened the party.

"I'm Mark, the Assistant Financial Analyst," a young handsome man introduced. "Nice meeting you," he added and brought out his hand for a handshake.

""Nice meeting you too," I hope we get along, Victoria replied and moved on to the next person, without taking his hand.

"You are looking so gorgeous HR. "I'm sure God perfectly moulded a goddess like you on Monday, the first day of his creation," another Handsome young man in early thirties complimented which left Victoria blushing, but she didn't stop and walked past him.

"I'm victor, We have similar names which makes us even and a perfect match, please let's rub hearts together," another man said which made victoria giggle.

"I hope we get along as colleagues at work though," she replied and started walking out on the guy while he held back her hand and kissed it.

An enraged Frank, full of jealousy, stayed at a corner watching the dramas that took place because of Victoria. "Why are they all over her? "What's she doing here in the first place? "And her looks! yeah her looks, what's up with her transformation?. "I could remember her being an obesed, oversized and annoying housewife before we ended things. "How come she this transformed? A surprised and shocked Frank that couldn't point at what occurred in his ex' wife "Victoria Smith's life thought.

"Why are you even shocked about her change? "Who wouldn't change after passing through hell in your hands," you monster!" An inner voice accused.

"I shouldn't be bothered by her right now or ever, at least I have a hot looking Mia waiting for me at home," Frank assured himself and tried to wave off the thought and looks of Victoria from his head. He sighted Victoria walking past Mr Elijah who in return winked at her. She headed to the restroom while Mr Elijah followed suit.

Frank got angry, and couldn't take it any longer. She's his and he has to protect what's actually his own… He quickly dashed towards the rest room and met Victoria who made to enter one of the male toilets.

"Victoria!" Frank called... The voice sounds familiar and she knows who owns it. She didn't budge and made to enter the rest room but stopped after hearing the words that came out of Frank's lips.

"Why Victoria? "Why did you show up suddenly after two whole years of disappearance?.

"Please I don't know what you are talking about Mister!" if you would please excuse me," Victoria replied pretending not to recognize Frank, her ex husband.

"What are you doing here? Here is for men not ladies. "Are you now a whore? "Did you book some minutes to make out with a random person here?" Frank asked.

"You cannot just accuse me of whatever you have in mind okay? "Yeah! even if that's the case. "What's your problem? "At least I'm single and trying to mingle... "Please I hope we get along, and I don't want us to cross paths ever again here or outside, Mister!" Victoria replied.

"Don't try to deny not knowing me, Victoria!" I'm frank, the person you are madly in love with, not some no one."

"Shut up and cut the crap!" Don't try to say anything that you would regret later, "I don't know you and we haven't ever crossed paths" I repeat we haven't ever crossed paths here or anywhere else. "Let's stay in our lane and maintain distance, We ended a long time ago," Victoria said and banged the door as she entered the male toilet.

"At least don't do this today, not here! not while I have known about it... "Victoria, Victoria,Victoria!" Open the door," Frank thundered and started banging on the toilet door.

"I'm going to kill whosoever that's in there with you," if i get my hands on him. "Victoria, open the door," i'm going to break it," Frank thundered again and continued banging the door.

"Arrrrgh! What's he going to give to you? "You shouldn't stoop so low, your life hasn't gotten to that. "Victoria, come out of there and come face me, if you ain't scared" Frank challenged, losing it as he started kicking the door with frustration. Victoria became scared and stayed back in the toilet, not ready to open the door. She hasn't ever seen Frank like this , not in the two years of their marriage, even when he started treating her badly before throwing her out.

"Am i sure I am making the right decision, dear God! "Can I really have my revenge with me feeling this way?.

" I pray for strength and courage. "I have to do this, for me and for my baby that I lost because of him" Victoria prayed in her heart.

"Victoria!" Frank kept on calling and banging on the door. He felt so fustrated and paced around.

"Come out of there," you shouldn't do that because of me, please don't do that to get back at me. "I know i did terrible things," Frank confessed.

"Please come out, Victoria!" Frank thundered with impatience and banged on the door once more.

"Mr Frank! "What is the matter? Mr Elijah who entered the male restaurant rest room area asked, as he walked towards Frank.

"Sir!" frank called, surprised.

"Yes Mr Franklin!" he called back using his full name for the first time.

"Nothing Sir! "I thought you came to the restroom earlier" Frank asked feeling puzzled.

"Yes, but didn't really head here. "I went to check how things were going in the control room. "Is there any problem? Mr Elijah asked.

"No sir! "I was actually having an argument with one of my fellow colleagues, so I was urging him to open the door, so we could settle things as he earlier banged it on my face" Frank lied.

"Are you sure? "I thought I was hearing someone calling "Victoria!" I started wondering why someone would be looking for her here in the male restroom, while she's meant to be found in the female section.

"It wasn't me sir, maybe there was mishearing stuff from the otherside" Frank lied again trying to cover up.

"Why is he lying suddenly to Mr Elijah? "Victoria asked herself.

"Oh he thought earlier that i came here to make out with Mr Elijah. "Hahahaha!" Victoria wanted to laugh out loud but swallowed it. "He is still jealous, i mean why would he be? Isn't he living happily with the hottest woman ever?. "The one that isn't obesed and overweight, the sleek and curvy greek goddess according to him years ago. "He literally chased me out because of her, after ruining and turning my life upside down, and thinks he has the right to be jealous when he sees me with another man, who says so?" Victoria thought biting her lips so hard until she tasted blood. "No honey, you don't have to be because this game just began and you have to pay for every inch of pain, discomfort and tears you cost me. "You killed my baby even before he was formed in the womb, and you think you have the right to advise me on how to live my life? "Never Franklin!" You made me miserable and rejected, and you have to pay dearly for it" Victoria vowed.

"Alright!" Let's head back to the dinner party," Mr Elijah suggested and started leaving as Frank concurred.

"Not so fast Sir, you guys wanna leave me behind huh? Victoria asked, stepping out of the toilet.

"Victoria Smith!" Mr Elijah exclaimed looking surprised as Victoria came out of the toilet, Frank was banging it's door earlier...
