Chapter 28--Split Chapter

(Euan’s P.O.V)

The pain was unbearable, and I wanted to claw myself out of my skin. I didn’t know what was happening, I just knew that I needed to get to Junie, to my little blossom.

“How much longer is he going to be out for?” I hear someone ask.

Hmm, that sounds like mom…I think.

“He should be coming around soon.” A male voice I didn’t recognize right away answered.

My eyes shoot open and the light blinds me, making my head throb. I groan, close my eyes, and rollover. I’m not on the ground anymore, last I remembered I was on the ground by mine and Junie’s lake. I’m in bed…my bed.

“The light’s off, honey.” I hear my mother whisper.

I slowly open my eyes, it’s darker but not pitch black like that void was. Something doesn’t feel right though.

“Mom?” I croak.

“Oh, honey.” She sobs as she comes over to me and hugs me to her.
