(Juniper’s P.O.V)

My head was pounding, and my body felt like it had been run over by a train.

“She should be coming around now, make sure the lights are off. Her eyes will be sensitive to light.” A rasping voice said.

I could hear the click of a light switch, meaning someone had followed this person’s instructions. I tried to open my eyes or move my body, but it just caused me to groan in pain. Then I felt it, the hollow feeling in my chest that something was missing. Fuck. The Moon Goddess and the water Goddess, Coventina, had been right. My mate bond was gone.
