I know it has been a while since I've updated this book, however; I've been going through a really difficult time personally between family stuff and medical stuff. I've also been dealing with a really bad case of writer's block. I've been slowly getting back into writing this book so I promise I am working on it! Hello, once again dear readers! This book is the second in the Solstice Tribrid series, so if you haven’t read Ice Princess: The Winter Solstice Tribrid please read it before starting this book. This book, like my others, will explore a BDSM dynamic between the main characters. In my world we don't "yuck" someone else's "yum". If kink/BDSM isn't your thing, then you may not want to read. Juniper, 12 years old: Run. That was all I could focus on, running, getting to the safehouse where my siblings would be along with the other non-shifted children of the pack would be. Just keep going. A growl. That’s what pulls me out of my thoughts and causes me to stop in my tracks, my chest heaving from how long and fast I had been running. A twig snaps to my right and I slowly back away. Daddy, I don’t think I’m going to make it to the safehouse. I mind link my dad; I may not have shifted into my wolf, but all children have the ability mind link their immediate family. Where are you, Junie? My dad asks. I’m near the edge of the forest, not sure how far the safehouse is— My mind link is interrupted by another growl and that’s when the scent of decay and death hits my nostrils…a rogue. I whimper, frightened of what was going to happen. “Oh, tiny pup. Are you the one we are looking for? Hmm, you smell like a hybrid to me.” A man says.

(Juniper’s P.O.V) 4 years later: Walking through the halls of my high school, I keep my head down and try and make myself as small as possible. I don’t feel like dealing with people today, not that I ever feel like dealing with people. Particularly teenagers, especially THESE teenagers. After the rogue attack and waking up in the hospital after spending two weeks in a coma, I woke up sounding like I smoked 5 packs a day. All of the doctors my parents had taken me to, all said the same thing, that I would never get my voice back. Even talking with Fae healers, spell casters, and elves nothing could be done. No one could regenerate the cells of the body to fix this, no one had that type of magic. It was ancient magic according to one Fae healer, that only Celestial’s had. (Juniper’s P.O.V) Hearing Euan calling my name made me relax slightly after the shit show of a day I had, thanks to Grant Howard and his little gang of douche-kabobs. After he got in trouble with Aunt Morrigan, he took it out on me verbally and so did his friends. They knew better than to physically hurt me. Getting into Euan’s car, I’m surrounded by his scent: leather with a hint of cardamom. As much as my parents’ individual scents calm me, his calms me even more than theirs. “So, Queen Junie, your birthday is the day after tomorrow. And as tradition dictates, we are going on an adventure.” Euan says as he pulls out of the school parking lot. (Euan’s P.O.V) Fucking rogues had to ruin everything, again. I can feel Junie shaking in my arms, my t-shirt was wet from where she had her face buried into my chest. “Calm down baby, we are almost there,” I say, seeing the safe house in front of me. Euan, where are you!? My mother shouts in the mind link. I’m with Juniper, we are right in front of the safe house. I reply as I get to the door. Oh, thank the Goddesses above. She responds. I cut the mind link as I put my thumb on the scanner and the door clicks open, I slip inside before I close the door and bolt it. Juniper’s breathing is coming in short, shallow pants and I know she’s on the verge of having a panic attack. I make my way through the living area and down to the underground bunker where the rest of the pack who aren’t warriors and who can’t shift are. I find a quiet corner and sit on the ground, holding her in my lap. “Breathe Junie, follow my breathing. In. One. Two. Out. One. Two.” I say.

(Juniper’s P.O.V) My dad was carrying me through the pack territory toward our house, and all I could think of was Euan and the way he soothed me today. It’s been a while since I’ve had a panic attack like that, and for him to be able to get me out of it and then ground me. That was incredible. “Are you okay Junie bug?” My dad whispers. “Yes, daddy,” I say out loud since it’s just the two of us. “Good. What were you doing?” “Euan and I were at the lake; he’d taken me there because—” I stopped short of telling him what happened with Grant. “Because? Don’t bother lying to me, Morrigan already told me what happened with that slimy little weasel Grant.” He growls. “Well then, I don’t need to tell you what happened,” I whisper. “Junie, do you want to reconsider being homeschooled?
