Selective memory loss

Zoey's POV

“Undress, get on the bed, and spread your legs for me,” he ordered as I stared at him with fear and pain. “Don't make me repeat myself,” he yelled, and I flinched. “Are you deaf?” he shouted, making me gulp as I began undressing. After undressing, I lifted my gaze to meet his, seeing anger and disgust in his eyes directed at me. “Lie on the bed and spread your legs for me,” he said, and with a gulp, I went over to the bed, laid down, and closed my eyes, a tear rolling down my cheek.

Slowly, I opened my eyes but noticed my vision was blurred, furrowing my brow, I closed my eyes again. “She just opened her eyes,” a strange female voice echoed from afar. “Are you sure? Let me take a look,” a male voice responded. Suddenly, a hand touched me, making me uncomfortable enough to force my eyes open. This time, my vision was clear; I could see a man wearing a white robe standing before me. It took a while for my brain to register that the man was a doctor.

“She's awake,” the doctor
