5. They Met

Heathrow barged into Delia's room. His annoyance and disappointment were obvious. He didn't want Delia to ruin all they have planned, to him they had done way to much to spoil it all now.

Heathrow was taken by surprise as he found Delia on her bed screaming and crying. Her black dress laid on the ground, totally ripped apart. She was seated on her bed wailing with only her underwear.

Heathrow picked up a towel and covered her with it, and gently embraced her. He could feel the warm tears fall on his shirt and he felt compassionate. He murmured a few words of encouragement but Delia took none, she kept on wailing aloud and screaming in desperation.

After a while, she stopped screaming and then began to accuse Heathrow for her sorrows. "YOU LIED TO ME. I HATE YOU. I HATE YOU MORE THAN I HATE HER. YOU'RE SUCH A LIAR."

"Delia, I've never lied to you and I'll never lie to you, and… you know that. You know that, Delia. I will never lie to you."

"But…what about when you told me that when my mother dies, I'll be free from weakness, you told me that when she's dead I'll be powerful, unstoppable and godlike."

"Yes. Yes, I meant all of it."

"Really, because it seems like I'm now the exact opposite of what you promised. Now, I have to cry and weep like a baby. I have to look like a grieving weak little girl every time someone passes, and…I'm pretty sure that that's not how POWER FEELS LIKE!!!"

Heathrow shifted a strand of hair across her face and held her face with his two large hands. "Delia, all you need to do to attain such power is to exercise some Patience."

"PATIENCE!!! Oh no, I'm so so done with that, okay? I'm done with the acting, the pretense, the good girl behaviour, the crying, telling lovely stories that never happened, I'm done with all of that. I WANT ACTION."

"OK, OK, OK. No problem, we will act but for now, making everyone know that you killed your own mother will result in a rebellion. So you have to wait for the appointment of you as the new Alpha and after that you can do everything you want."

"Did you hear me at all, Heathrow or have you suddenly grown DEAF. I WANT…."

"ACTION." Heathrow yelled back, his voice making Delia tremble with fear. "If you really want the Power that you so much desire, you'll have to listen to me. You know that I'm your only chance of getting power, so listen and learn. You literally have two options, either you listen to me and gain Power or you FAIL.  Then,we both know that in time everyone will find out that you are the KILLER, and then you will be crushed like a little powerless cockroach that you are… currently."

Delia eyes were fixed on Heathrow and she watched as he stood up and walked towards the door.

At the door, he said. "One last thing. I am fed up with your insults. For god's sake, I'm your Uncle. You had better grown some manners or I'll teach you some."

Heathrow slammed her door shut as he walked out of her room. He silently cursed Delia as he walked into his room and from his reading table, picked up a golden coin and a big old book which had probably survived for centuries. He put on a dark cloak before walking out and locking the door. From the silence of the house, it was obvious that no one apart from Delia was inside, so he walked freely to his horse which he had tied to a tree at the back of the house.

From there he rode into the large  fields and was headed to the Wolfblood River.

Reven watched Natalie and her pack talk to the Seers also known as the History Keepers.

After some time, she walked away from the group and walked into the faraway hills. He followed her for several minutes until he was certain that they were far enough from her Pack, before he came out from hiding.

"Hey there." She said aloud, taking Reven by surprise.

She knew he was following her immediately she had separated from her Father and the rest. At first, she had wanted to run back and scream that she was being stalked, but she didn't because she somehow figured out that she actually enjoyed his hidden company. She found herself smiling sheepishly as she walked further into the hills. Her nerves were boiling and her breathing was fast and unsteady. She took a deep breath as she saw him appear behind her and then she said. "Hey there."

It was clear that she had shocked him as she watched him jerk back with shock, but he soon retained his composure and blessed her with a charming smile. Her heart almost jumped out of her chest, she didn't know how to behave, she didn't know what to do, she just stood there staring at him.

       He chuckled. "I'm Fayne."

Natalie memories of seeing Reven amongst the Skull pack kicked back in. Her heart beat slowed down and she seemed rather disappointed than annoyed.

"OK. So, Fayne why are you stalking me?"

He smiled. "I'm not stalking you, I'm just strolling like you are."

"No, you are stalking me, and I don't like being stalked."

       "Yeah, I too."

        "What do you mean?"

"I saw you in the morning peeping from your window."

Natalie's heart stopped for several seconds. She wished the ground could open up and swallow her. Oh no he saw me, this can't be happening. No no no no.

Reven smiled as he watched her confidence wash up into shame. "But, it's okay. I'm not pressing any charges against you."

She gave a weak smile. "I'm so sorry about that."

"There's nothing to be sorry about. To be honest, I kinda liked it." He said partially laughing.

"Now we are even, I guess."

They stared at each other for a short while until Natalie said; "I have to leave now before my father begins to worry. It's nice meeting you, Fayne."

She walked as fast as her leg could go but before she could get out of his sight, he called out;  "Before you go, could you please tell me your name?"

She smiled but didn't look back. "It's Natalie."

      "Lovely name."

She felt really uncomfortable and wanted nothing more than to disappear from there.

"Bye, Fayne." She walked away even faster than before.
