7. The Vanishing Library

He woke up with his eyes blurry, the room was upside down and his eyes ached. He attempted sitting up but he gave up on the way up. He moaned as he collapsed back on the bed. He shut his blurry eyes and took in several deep breaths. The pillows were soft and relaxing and so was the bed, and it was then he wondered where he was. He opened his eyes and looked around the room. It was a lady's room filled with decorations and pictures. The wall was a mixture of light purple with white and so were the bed dressings. By his side was a giant Pink Teddy bear with a which poster on its neck which read; Pinkie Polly

The room had a pleasant scent of Lavender mixed with Jasmine. To Reven who was used to a large but scanty bedroom, the room was magical.

He stood up, ignoring the intense pain in his legs and his aching back. He managed to hop to see the numerous pictures and portraits on the wall.

In the first five pictures and two portraits of a little girl with blonde hair. The girl had an adorable smile despite the scantiness of her teeth. In one of them, she had a large red bump on her nose but was nonetheless adorable. He moved over to another side of the wall and saw a beautiful adolescent and it was then he knew whose room he was in;"Natalie Kane." She wasn't the type who relied on makeup or jeweleries nor on latest trends of fashion. In most of her pictures, she was in baggy clothes and loosely fitted outfits, and light makeup. In all her pictures including the latest ones, he never saw her wearing any sort revealing outfits. Despite her negligence towards fashion, she was still the most beautiful person he had set his eyes on. She had a striking green eyes, perfectly shaped nose, full pink lips, long thick lashes and eyebrows, wonderful curves and edges, and most of all the most beautiful smile in the whole universe.

He stood there staring at the pictures with much more interest than he did with most things lately.

He was still staring at them when she walked in with a tray in her hands. She dropped the tray down on a nearby stool. To her surprise, he hadn't seemed to notice her presence as his eyes were still fixed to her pictures which made her nervous and somewhat shy. She cleared her throat in order to get his attention but even with that he was still unaware of her presence. She repeated it over and over again until she got tired and walked over to him and said loudly; "Fayne! Fayne!"

With that, Reven shook out of his daydream. He blinked severally until he at last gained composure. "Yes, Natalya"

"It's actually Natalie." She corrected him.

"I know, I was just kidding." He said with a half smile across his lips.

He watched her talk continuously but he wasn't interested in what she had to say, he had greater interest in watching her full pink lips clash and separate in accordance. She had a white ribbon tied on her neck to form a bow. Her skin glowed and reflected the penetrating morning sun. He watched her carotid artery in her neck pulse. He could hear her unsteady heartbeat, her long curly hair was packed without carelessly but were still beautiful. She was in a short sleeve white top which had no design on it and was loosely fitted, and

what-should-have-been a blue jean but was white with a tint of blue. He eyes fell to the slightly exposed full breasts that pumped out of the neck hole of the shirt. He watched the rise and fall of her exposed breasts due to her heartbeats. From the baggy Jean, her hip curves were still very visible. His eyes drifted back to her creamy face, and remained there until she tapped his face and said; "Fayne, are you even listening to me?"

   "Umm...‚yes...‚...of course."

"Really. If you have been listening to what I've been saying for the past five minutes as you claim, I guess you should be able to explain, or at least say the basic points."

He chuckled, and shifted his lips and eyes assuming a thinking face (🤔). "I guess something related to your stunning eyes, right?"

She laughed, "You're pretty funny, Fayne."

"Yeah, I know, I get told all the time by everyone I meet."

"Have you ever taught of being a stand up comedian?"

"No, I haven't and I'm sure that I will never be a comedian."

"Why. You're very funny and lively. I think you'll make a good comedian."

"And I think you'll make a good girlfriend."  She smiled, "Hmmmm, smart Approach, but it's a capital letter 'NO' for me."

"Hold on, I don't understand. I never asked you to be my girlfriend."

"But you...I see where you going."

 "Where?"

"Never mind. Anyways, " she said walking towards the tray of food. "I brought you breakfast, you'll need a lot of energy due to the amount of blood you lost last night."

It was then, Reven remembered what happened the previous night. He walked to the bed and collected the tray from Natalie. It was a simple breakfast, on the tray was a plate of Bacon, fluffy pancakes with a little bit of maple syrup.

As Reven ate, Natalie surprisingly enjoyed watching his throat take down the whole breakfast. She was still looking when she saw two intense ocean blue eyes fixed on her. Instantly, she shifted her eyes from his throat and looked at him. Her eyes met his and for a moment she felt like his intense eyes could see through her, read her thoughts, share her memories and probably do anything it wanted.

A smile formed in Reven's face. She is falling. Natalie Kane is finally falling right into my trap.

"So Natalie, what is it you were telling me earlier?"

Natalie lost her strong self control, her hands were fondling with each other, she was nervously biting her lower lip, her eyes lost its firmness and for the first time in Natalie Kane's life, she lost total control of herself.

 "Natalie! Are you alright?"

 "Ummm...yeah, I'm okay...I'm great...really good...okay...alright..."

"I get you."

"Well, a meeting is being held right now."

      "You said what?"

"What I was telling you before is that there's a meeting going on in the Conference house, north east of the town."

Reven who was done with eating, looked up from his plate and asked; "What Meeting?"

"A meeting was called by my father, summoning the presence of all high rank Werewolves."

Reven stood up in a hurry. "Oh no, I'll have to go now, my father will be so worried about me. Thanks for your hospitality, I owe you."

  "But..you are still not well."

"I'm well enough to attend a meeting, Natalya." He said as he opened the door and dashed out.

"It's Natalie." She whispered to herself.

Taz was clearly not satisfied with what Niue had told him, so he went to the ancient library in the temple. He had always been frightened of the scary sculptures and the carvings on the two storey high shelves.

He searched for hours but couldn't find any book related to the blood moon beast. He got tired an rested on one of the shelves and to his greatest surprise the shelf rolled inwards and he found himself in another room. Taz   guessed the room had been unused for so many years, as everywhere was covered with Spider webs. Taz turn on a small torchlight which he had taken along with him before sneaking inside the sacred library.

Every book in the library was about the blood moon beast. Despite the alikeness of all the books,  there was a particular one that caught Taz's attention. It was a grey book with ancient inscriptions. He pulled it out, dusted it and hid it inside his garment and hurried out of the hidden room.

Unknown to Taz, as he walked out of the room through the secret door and out of the library, the secret room disappeared and there was no secret library there anymore.
