19: New Turns and Surprises
The timer I set for the steak to get cooked went off and I quickly went to get it. It was a bit burnt but that's what made it a steak I guess. I made a mental note to call Chloe after now. I've missed her but she's not yet back from Paris. Damien entered the kitchen the exact time I place two steaks on his plate. His eyes holds that unfamiliar glint and I know he's confused.

I watched as Damien ordered a guy around to get our luggage into the Hotel. He looked so demanding, unlike the Damien I know that's always so playful around me...and so loving. This one was bossy.
