Chapter Fifteen

AERYAH

I jolted out if the bed as soon as I heard the scream pierce through the air, almost sending Larkxe go the floor. Quickly, I rushed to the closet to get some clothes while Larkxe struggling to get himself together.

"What the hell is goibg on?" he asked, rhetorically, and moved for the door. My eyes were wide too as I covered myself quickly and followed him out.

"What is going on?" This time, I asked a domestic staff who happened to be passing by as we made our way up the stairs, to the west wing. That was where the sound had come from.

The woman shook her head and pointed in the direction we were going. "I don't know, we all heard it, and are headed there now." she answered and gave Larkxe a brief look, before going up ahead of us.

I turned to look at him with a frown on my face. His expression mirrored mine as we made our way up. I could suddenly feel shivers as we approached the last floor.
