Chapter Eleven

LARKXE

I woke up with a very big smile on my face. As cheesy as it sounded, I had dreamt of Aeryah, and I had enjoyed every bit of it. I smiled again and stretched my body, feeling relaxed.

Just as quick as the smile came, it left, and as I turned to the other side of the bed, I confirmed my fears.

She had left. My ears peaked, trying to listen to hear any sound that could indicate if she was still around.

Nothing.

I touched the side of the bed she had laid and winced when I felt how cold it was. If I could guess, I would say she had left over an hour ago. It couldn't be less. But why had she left? She could have at least said goodbye to me!

Disappointment washed through me as I sat up on the bed that now felt as uncomfortable as ever. I suddenly didn't want to be in the room anymore.

What I had shared with Aeryah the previous night had been nothing short of mind-blowing, and I had been looking forward to getting to know her better. We had woken up in the wee hours of the morning, an
