Chapter Sixteen

AERYAH

I hadn't seen Larkxe in hours. My parents had led out of the room to give him privacy and time to grieve his parents. But now, I just wanted to be by his side, which is why I was making my way to the bathroom. I had seen the door which connected the two rooms together, when I had gone to take my bath earlier. But it had been locked. Larkxe had locked it, and I was very sure he hadn't come in since the incident either.

Slowly, I stepped into the bathroom, and headed for the door, placing my hand in the knob and placing some spells on it. The door gave, and I pushed it, and stepped inside his room.

I didn't have time to admire the room, just concentrating on the figure sprawled across the bed in am awkward position. I could hear the sound of his breath, and from the rhythm, I knew he wasn't asleep.
