Chapter Thirteen

My mother had been spitting blue fire, literally, as she paced the full length of the dining room. To say I was afraid, was to say the least.i couldn't even explain what had occured in the shed. All I could say, was that my emotions were on a high.

"Mum, please say something." I urged, completely fed up with the silence and suspense. It was killing me.

She stopped in her tracks, and closed her hands in a fist, quenching the blue flame that sat on both palms. The flames were pretty harmless, until they were thrown at a person.

"What do you want me to say, Aeryah? I'm confused and really, really angry. We do no mate with them. It has never happened before." she spat, and looked at my father, who sat in his own corner, for help.
