"N..no." Cole stuttered, restoring his handkerchief into his pocket, he didn't look like he was lying and so she waved it, not caring so much.
"Hm." She waved at a waiter. The man in a tuxedo answered her silent call and came over.
"Get me a new glass cup." She simply put.
"Yes ma'am." The man nodded and left to do as told. She loved it when people listened to her even though it was his job to do so.
"Why? You want to have a drink with me?" Cole raised an eyebrow at her,
"Something like that." She shrugged, wondering if it wasn't obvious enough.
"You know," he began, "I still don't understand why you came to hang out with me." He said.
"I felt like it." She shrugged, "I came to listen to the show and I saw you sitting alone so I chose to hurt in." She stirred in her seat.
The waiter returned with an empty glass cup and she eyed it cautious
Lara Zyke sat in the restaurant, her hands on the table. She crossed her legs, ignoring how her short dress was almost revealing her underwear in that seated position."I think you need to use some more makeup on your face though." Khalid pointed to the small red mark on her face from her encounter with Karen.
Karen was on her way to another shoot when her phone rang, disrupting the peace of the car. The noise had broken the silence that had accompanied them all the way from the hotel to their current destination. She had flinched when it rang in her laps where her small handbag was rested.A few eyes turned to her. There were three other models in the limousine, the vehicle chosen as today's ride. They soon diverted their attentions back to the road, easing her of feeling uncomfortable."Have you heard the news?" An unrecognizable voice asked her from the other end. Whoever it was was calling her from the office landline. She didn't care much about the news unless...Her eyes widened. Could people have managed to publish that she and Cole had sex on their trip? Everyone must have have been on the look out for them ever since they heard about them working together. She shook her head, "what news
"Karen!" Cole was unable to catch up with her. His hands reflexively flew up to his head and he shook his head in fear. Someone from the other side had managed to catch her instead. He yanked her towards him and drew her close to his chest.Cole heaved a sigh of relief. The man seemed so determined because he didn't let her go. Karen looked at him like she was lost from her environment. He had a feeling it was because she hadn't expected the incident.Cole ran across the streets when he knew the road was free."Karen!" He pulled her out of the strange man's grip. He was still holding on to her by now which made him appear fishy to Cole. "Are you okay? What were you thinking? " He received her and hugged her to his chest. She didnt say anything at first. She moved away from hom and shook her head really fast, "thank you so much for saving me Jacob, I have no idea where you came from but I'm thankful."
Cole inserted the key into its hole and furrowed his eyebrows when the door budged. It was already open. He walked into his apartment and glared when he saw that Lara was in the living room."Cole!" She stood to her feet sharply."What are you doing here?" He walked in and closed the door behind him"I only came by to say hello." She lied, smirking and taking strides towards him. "A little bird told me you would be coming back home and so I thought it would be great if I came here beforehand, what do you think?" She got to where he stood. She snaked her arms around his neck and moved closer to him. "What do you think you're doing?" Cole was tired, too tired to pay attention to the gown she was in.Lara had specifically chosen the outfit she was in, a red lace gown that was see through. It barely stopped after her butt. There was a shorter shirt gown in the same colour underneath her outfit
Cole got into his shirt, scanning through his contact list to see if he would find any information about Karen. "Dang it." He groaned, realizing he didn't have her phone number. He proceeded to dial Lara, hoping internally that he could stop her before she got what she wanted.Like he expected, she didn't answer the phone. Cole hooked his car keys around his index finger and stuffed his phone into his pants pocket. He ran his fingers through his hair unconsciously and left the house. This was the last string Lara would be pulling, he could vouch for that.*Karen sat still in front of her dressing mirror, talking to her reflection. "Here goes nothing." She nodded and applied a decent amount of face lotion onto her palm. She hadn't used any skincare products in so long and her smooth face was proof that she didn't need them to look good.Tonight, she was overwhelmed by bore
"Where are you driving us to?" Karen inquired after a while of moving on the road. Neither of them had spoken to each other throughout, each of them had been buried in their individual thoughts , reliving the incident from earlier."Definitely not your house, or my house." He told her, keeping his focus on the road."So where are we going?" She was curious to know."I'm not sure yet." He scratched his head. "I can drive you to your parents but Lara will come to me as well and...""I ask you a simple question, where are you driving us to?" "Okay." He snapped his fingers, "got it. Don't worry, I have somewhere we can both go." He told her, running through his thoughts for the best options."I should have known your involvement in my life would result to even more madness, what was I thinking when I was supposed to have stayed away from you." She shook her head, and folded her arms across her chest, "you better know what you're doing." She was glad that she had survived but what if she
Karen fluttered her eyes open, feeling an indescribable pain in her neck as she tried to sit up. It was all thanks to her sleeping position, she had managed to get cramps in her neck."Fuck." She rubbed the affected region. Cole was still asleep and he was shirtless. She felt bad for him but the room was still pretty warm."Oh my God!"She gasped, realizing she was still in her underwear and nothing but a jacket. Her robe slipped to the floor when she stood to her feet. She realized Cole must have carried her in.She frowned, retrieving her robe from the floor and put it on.She sighed and walked out of the room, ready to return to her comfortable lifestyle back at home. She loved what the scene looked like in daytime. The place was crowded by trees and sweet smelling flower brushed her nostrils. The early birds chirped as they flew in harmony and it looked like a scene from a painting was drawing her into it. She didn't want to leave."I thought you ran away." His voice called from beh
Cole felt peeved by her words and shook his head, getting to his feet. "Wow.""That's all your going to say?" She stood to after him. "Get in the car." He walked out of the room and expected her to follow after him."Why? Where are you taking me?" She asked him, trailing behind him.He didn't respond and unlocked the car, getting into the driver's seat."You can't expect me to just follow you without questioning?" She was peeved by his display, something she considered dramatic. He started the engines and judging by the angry frown on his face and the look if determination he wore, she knew it was only a matter of time before he actually drove off and left her standing there. With an equally angry look, she got into the passenger's side and slammed the door.Cole drove into the streets with anger, not minding that he could be breaking some traffic rules and regulations. Her words had played an effect on him even more than he had expected. They didn't communicate and when they were ble
