My sense awakened with a heavy headache. I groaned and severely shut my eyes. I will never, ever drink vodka again.
My eyes automatically wide open as I recognized the tough scent of the bed I am lying. I'm not in my own room. I jumped out of bed. Where am I? What place is this?!
I looked at the table behind me and saw a plate sunny side-up, rice and bacons, with a hot cup, smoking beside it.
I tried to recall what happened last night, but I only can remember I was with Agustin.
No, this can't be happening. I should only wake up the bar's table, not here! I'm stupid! The bed, it smells like Desmond!
"Good morning." I raised my head and found him, wearing his usual smirk that I makes me want to get the rid of it. I glared at him.
"Aalis ka na?"
"Get out of my way," I cautioned. Lumihis ako ng dinadaanan at nagmamadaling bumaba ng hagdan.
"Wait, you aren't done eating yet." I heard a footsteps following me so I speed up. "Don't you wanna ask me about what happened last night?"
I froze in a seconds. I quickly checked my bra inside my gray, oversized shirt. I also check my faded pants and I can't see any nasty trace from the maniac after me. Walang nabaliktad na suot at walang nawalang underwear.
I heard him burst out his laughter and I faced him. "Geez! That's not what I meant!"
"Then, why did you freaking brought me here?! I will not hesitate to put more bruise on your goddamn face again if you won't answer!" I barked furiously. He just shook his head in amusement.
"Because your Dad asked me to brought you home, and you asked me to brought you here so." He put his one hand on the pocket of his pants.
"You dumbass! Paano kung may makakakita sa 'tin dito?"
He shrugged. "Edi mabuti." He chuckled again. "I'm just kidding."
I severely shut my eyes, trying to hold my temper. I cursed him. "Ano ang ginawa mo sa 'kin kagabi?"
He scratched his thick eyebrows.
"I did nothing, you just..." He paused and pursed his lips. "...you just act like a kid singing random songs for me and pinched my cheeks. You repeatedly utter that I'm cute and..."
Umawang ang bibig ko. "And?" I slowly asked.
He shrugged his shoulders and grinned. He wrinkled his nose before he uttered. "You..." he trailed off.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "I what?!"
He grinned. "No, nothing else..."
I can sense something between his grin. Like he did something victorious. I narrowed my eyes more. "... I-I just want you to stay here for a while and eat the breakfast I prepared. You should feel the honor, sweetheart."
I gagged and clung my backpack on my right shoulder. "You wish."
I turned away from him.
"Wait," he stopped me again. "You still have dirt in your eyes." I froze once again and quickly took off the dirt.
"Are you sure you're going to leave? You still have an oily face and dried saliva on the corner of your lips," he asked, half chuckle.
I eyes widen and held the side of my lips. I turned back to face him. "Where's the bathroom?"
Is he expecting me to take a bath here, knowing he's around? "No, sa bahay ako maliligo."
"So you're going home?"
This man is a kind of slow poke.
"Obviously," I clogged and about to open the main door.
"I'll drive you home."
Nilingon ko s'ya. "What? No."
"I'll drive you home," he insisted and get his keys. "Wear this, so paparazzis couldn't recognize you."
"I didn't say I'll going home with you," I muttered.
"But I insist," he argued.
My brows bumped together in a frown. "Why are you doing this?"
He wiggled his eyebrows. "You already know why."
I shook my head. "Wala kang mapapala sa 'kin. Kaya titigil-tigilan mo na ako." I walked away from him and slightly open the main door to check outside.
"Let's see, and anyway, don't dare to open that door, you might regret it. I'll drive you home. That's final."
I gave up. The way to leave his unit, safely, is to go with him. We went to the other corner of his condo and saw a downward staircase. He had his secret passage to avoid the the notice of people. We successfully reached his car without the notice of anyone.
He opened the pasenger seat, but I just hissed and opened the backseat by my own.
Naging tahimik ang bayahe. His eyes just focused on the road.
I quickly go out and slam the door as we reach our destination.
"How about the goodbye kiss?"Desmond called. "You are welcome, sweerheart!" he shouted.
"Bastard," I murmured and get inside the house.
"Isn't that kuya Desmond outside?" My gaze turned to Harkey, my badass, 10 years old, half-brother with his usual two, toy car on his both hands.
I didn't notice him coming. He just pop out from nowhere like a mushroom in the thunderstorm. I continued walking as he followed me.
"I don't want to talk about him."
I can feel the fiction of his car against the barrier of the staircase.
"When did you feel to talk to anyone here?" His mouth sounded a long 'ngeeeng' before he spoke again. "You mostly talk for a trouble."
I don't really want to have a nonsense fight with this creature.
"Definitely." I finally reached my room and slam to close the door, leaving him outside.
I lazily throw myself in the bed and open the table's drawer beside me to get some pain reliever. I get my phone after and switched on the flatscreen TV in front of me, but a message from an unknown number caught my attention.
'Guess who will getting married'
The unknown number also sent a picture. I almost break the phone as I found out it was a marriage contract signed under my name.
Madilim na ang gabi. Walang hirap akong bumaba mula sa balkonahe ng aking kwarto samantalang nasa taas pa rin si Desmond mukhang tulala."What now?" I hissed. "They might caught us. Hurry up!" I gestured my hand and it make him snap back to his consciousness. "You aren't spiderwoman, aren't you?" he asked, trying his best to whisper against his baritone voice.I looked at him in a boredom. "I've been doing these stuffs for years," I informed. He shook his head. "You could be a great robber someday," he commented and started taking his both feet down the terrace."No thanks," I murmured but not enough to reach his ears. Instead, I saw him took a huge gulp while staring at the ground. Pangatlong palapag lang din ang aking kwarto.I sighed and crossed my arms. I tapped my foot in impatience while waiting for him to fully reach the ground. Pero napatigil sa pag-hakbang pababa. "I'
"That dress looks good in you," his deep voice uttered.I could see Desmond's reflection from here. He's observing me, lying on my bed with his both arms pillowed his head, together with a playful smirk lingered on his face. My whole face was still painted with embarrassment and I flushed even more with his sudden compliment.I cleared my throat. "Thanks."A part of me wants to puke. Seriously? 'Thanks?!' Oh, fvck. I can't even figure out if he really mean it, or he's just being sarcastic!I blinked. "What are you doing here, anyway?" I asked, changing the topic. "Nevermind that question. I know Dad sent you here." I fake a laughed and got choked with my own saliva. I awkwardly cleared my throat once again."He didn't." He shook his head. "I went here with my o
Living here in Italia brought me into a great adjustment again. Everyone was treating me like a crappy princess. I have to stay here inside this fvcking mansion where maids and butlers are everywhere, and go with stupid bodyguards if I'll be going outdoors.I hate it, but must to bare with it. I have to bare with these stupid closet of dresses and girly pairs of shoe that grandma brought for me. They're fvcking conservative, protective, and above all, dramatic. But in the midst adjusting, I found myself taking my old stuffs away. I forgot what alcohol tasted like. I forgot the noise of clubs sounds like, and so as the scent of cigarettes enters my nostrils. I am now preferred staying my room, reading books, and scroll on social media--things I lately called as stupidly, girly stuffs. I know, it's bullshit. But I getting used to it.
We went back to our usual quiet state. No one is dared to talks, nor start a conversation. I can sense how speed he drive is, it was different from its usual rate. It was all sign of madness. His eyebrows didn't also separated away from each other, since we departed that place. It confused me. He should be thankful for I'll be going away from him, right? Because I am complicated and stubborn. I'm a huge pain in the ass. I let out a heavy sigh.I assumed he will assist me, just like what he did on the hospital. But I was wrong.
We silently drove along the city's highway. I am right behind him in the passenger seat while his eyes focused on the road. He's driving. I throw him glance sometimes, and I'm afraid he might notice it.We were heading towards the hospital, just like what he have said last night. That's why I quickly prepared myself as I woke up, and no, I am not excited. Really. I turned my gaze back in the side mirror and felt a sudden suspense as I saw the same, white Mustang after us. It sounds following us since earlier.I may be too paranoid, so I shrugged that thought off and focused my gaze to other direction. We reached the hospital and he helped me out of the car. I wandered my eyes in the surroundings, searching for the Mustang who was following us. "Is there something bothering you?" Desmond asked from my behind.I can no longer see any signs of the suspicious car, so I sigh in relief. "No, nothing. Let's go--oh, fvc
It was exactly midnight as I went back home.My whole body was in sore. My left leg, there was a cloth attached to it to stop the blood from flowing, and have fractured knee.I had also tons of small cuts in my arms, a single cut on my neck. My right palm had the long but not so deep cut due to clutching those two-sided blade weapon earlier. And the rest are bruises.Good thing is, I can still drive home, and I am still alive. The high-pitched, turquoise-headed bitch is also breathing before I left her lying in the ring.I reached my destination. I could see the guard opens the gate as I enters and proceed to the garage. The cold breeze of midnight air touches my skin as I open the car's door. I winced in a great pain. I could feel the sore in my left leg as I finally moved out of the car.The other guard suddenly appeared in front of me. "Ma'am, anong nangyari? Bakit ang dami mong--patay...""Where is Desmond?
