The sky began to turn orange as the sun slowly descended toward the horizon. The sea breeze blew gently, carrying the salty scent of the beach that brought a soothing calm. Aurora and Rafael walked side by side along the shoreline, letting their bare feet touch the sand that was beginning to cool with the evening breeze. Small waves came and went, gently washing over their ankles.

Aurora lifted the hem of her dress slightly to avoid getting it wet, then glanced at Rafael, who looked like he was enjoying the atmosphere while rolling up the sleeves of his shirt. "This... is nice," Aurora said softly, her eyes gazing at the vast sea glistening in the twilight.

Rafael smiled and turned to her. "It'd be even nicer if you were soaked," he teased, then quickly splashed water toward Aurora's feet.

"Hey!" Aurora yelled while laughing. She stepped back and then returned the splash with enthusiasm. The salty water hit Rafael's calves, making him chuckle.

Aurora walked quickly toward the women's restroom, hoping to clear her tangled thoughts a little. She opened one of the stalls, locked it, and looked at her reflection in the small mirror attached to the door. She sighed, trying to steady her mind. But just as she was about to leave, the sound of high heels echoed outside the stall, followed by a voice she knew all too well. "Oh, I didn't expect to run into you here," Valery said in a sarcastic tone. Aurora was silent for a moment. Her eyes met Valery's sharp gaze as she stood in front of the sink, fixing her already-perfect hair. "Yeah, I'm not thrilled to see you either," said Aurora, trying to pass, but Valery quickly leaned against the door, blocking the way out. "Looks like we need to talk." Aurora raised an eyebrow. "If this is about the project, we can discuss it in the meeting room." Valery gave a small, mocking laugh. "Oh, it's not about the project. It's about...

In the quiet executive floor corridor, Valery arrived with hurried steps and an impatient expression. The high heels she was wearing clicked sharply across the marble floor until she stopped right in front of Rafael's private reception desk.Nadine, who was standing holding her tablet, immediately looked up and greeted Valery politely."I'm sorry, Ms. Valery. The President is in a closed meeting. I can't allow anyone to enter," Nadine said in a flat tone, yet still polite."I know, Nadine. But I have to see him now. It's important," Valery replied firmly, not hiding the frustration in her voice."I understand, but the President gave specific instructions. No one is allowed to disturb him during this meeting," Nadine explained calmly, maintaining her position in front of the door.Valery rolled her eyes and sighed in frustration. "I told you this is important. Just tell him Valery is here. He'll understand."But before Nadine could respond again, her cell phon

The night curtain still enveloped the room in silence, but that silence did not truly penetrate the hearts of the two people lying in silence. Rafael finally gave in to the inner urge that compelled him to look at the face he longed for so much. Slowly, he turned and looked at Aurora's back, which was still facing him.His gaze was filled with uncertainty, his fingers reaching out to touch Aurora's shoulder, but stopping midway. He was afraid of touching a wound he didn't know about. He only wanted to erase the distance, to erase the unusual coldness he felt. But before his hand could touch her, Aurora moved first. She turned slowly and found Rafael staring at her. Their eyes met in a brief moment of surprise, both sensing the unspoken longing, and also realizing they were both still awake.Rafael spoke first, his voice low and soft. "Having trouble sleeping?"Aurora nodded slightly, her eyes never leaving Rafael's. "I was just about to sleep, but it feels a little..

The sky outside was dark, dotted with dim stars covered by thin clouds. Aurora sat alone in the living room, bathed in the warm yellow light of the lamp hanging above her. She sat on the long sofa with her legs folded, hugging a pillow in her lap. Her gaze was blank as she stared at the front door, which was still tightly closed. The clock on the wall showed it was ten o'clock at night. There was still no sign of Rafael coming home.Aurora sighed softly, then glanced at her phone lying on the table. No messages. No calls. Silence. Even the ticking of the clock sounded too loud in her ears.Anxiety was slowly eating away at her heart. Since Rafael had left without much explanation that afternoon, her mind had been restless. There was something in Rafael's gaze at that moment-a gaze filled with anxiety and conflict. Aurora knew it wasn't just about ordinary work matters. Her feelings felt like they were being thrown back to the past. Straight to her last meeting with her father, Edgar

The car slowed to a stop in front of Rafael's house. Aurora breathed a sigh of relief as she recognized the familiar sight of the grand house, where they had spent many dynamic days, both happy and sad. Their vacation was over, but the beautiful memories still lingered warmly in their hearts. As soon as the car engine was turned off, one of the house servants immediately came over and opened the door. Quickly, he carried the suitcases and bags from the trunk into the house. Aurora thanked him as she stepped inside, removing her hat. She glanced at Rafael, who was still standing beside the car checking his phone, and said softly, "I'll go to my room first. I want to change clothes."Rafael nodded without looking up, replying, "Sure, just a moment."Aurora climbed the stairs leisurely, a smile still on her face. She entered the room and changed out of her beach dress into comfortable house clothes. After combing her hair and washing her face, she realized Rafael hadn't com

The night air grew cooler as Rafael and Aurora sat together at a small wooden table, right next to the grill, which was now beginning to dim. The candlelight on the table danced softly in the breeze, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. In front of them, various seafood dishes were laid out, their aromas tantalizing. There were grilled clams with garlic butter, barramundi fish, lemon sauce shrimp, and a plate of fresh salad. Beside them, a bottle of white wine had been opened, and two glasses were nearly full.Aurora fed Rafael a piece of fish with a small fork, smiling gently. "You must be hungry after cooking all afternoon."Rafael nodded as he chewed slowly. "If you keep feeding me like this, I could eat twice as much," he replied with a small laugh.Aurora laughed along, then wiped the corner of Rafael's mouth with a napkin she had taken playfully. "There, still messy," she said teasingly.Rafael didn't want to be outdone. He took a piece of shrimp and carefu
