Chapter 8 | Dad

Katrina's POV

When we heard mom groaned dad's name, Kiel immediately stood up. Ganun din ako. But I let him do what I should have doing. Nilapitan niya si mom at tinanong kung maayos na ba ang pakiramdam niya. Mom just bobbed her head.

"I will call the doctor, just wait here, tita," he said as he caress mom's hand. 

He turned to me. "Bantayan mo muna siya."

Magrereklamo palang sana ako pero nakaalis na siya. Ang lalaki talagang 'yon! Ugh!

I have no choice but to stay here so I returned to the couch where I sitted earlier. I heard her said something but I didn't understand it so I just ignored it. Nanatili akong nakatingala sa kisame. Trying to think about the possible reason of their accident.

"I'm sorry." I heard her said, after a long silence.

I pretend that I didn't heard it. I remained silent, blankly staring at the ceiling, as if I can find there the answers to so many questions that keeps on bothering me.
