Chapter 22: Prodigal

I forced myself to continue watching the sports programme my father was ardently watching. I definitely didn't feel like watching or listening to anything at that moment, not even my favorite sport. I had more serious things to think of than to think of how Chelsea were at the top of the premier league table and Manchester United were no where to be found, when I had my unresolved situation with Veronica. After going through everything that happened, I knew I probably deserved her ire. But I didn't think she would have been so angry she wouldn't have checked up on me. Wanting to stop feeling bad about it, I kept telling myself that she probably called me but couldn't get me as I wasn't with my phone.
