MasukChapter 26
Jenna's POV
"Nope. That's the whole point about why Liza didn't want to make it official with me and why she used strong perfumes after our make out to hide my scent on her." He paused. "She was aiming for the King fish in the ocean!"
"Her parents died when she was young and she's been here all our lives. I always knew what she wanted and still believed I could have a Happily Ever After with her. I was the foolish one here." He looked embarrassed of his past.
"So it doesn't hurt now? At all?"
"Uh-huh, I'm so happy without her. In fact, I'm still considering submitting my sperm to an IVF center, hoping that they would make the beautiful mistake they made in Jace's case. Maybe I could also get lucky." Cracking up, I slapped him playfully.
Our conversation became funny after that. Oakley shared his childhood with me, and some things from Jace's past— About his past and that my husband has been a huge playboy. Hearing his stories, I felt thrilled. I wonder how someone like him could be so loyal and honest to me! Men who are accustomed to enjoying adventure every night with a new woman don't settle for one person for the rest of their lives.
They love the thrill.
"BTW, I heard something about that Ex of yours." My thought was fragmented by Oakley's remark.
"He got married to that wítch? It was long coming." It was my turn to shrug carelessly.
"That happened, but something else happened too— she's pregnant."
"Woah, really? How, I wonder. Last I checked, his sperm count was extremely low. That is why I had to opt for IVF."
He gave that sweet smile again before his face became serious, "Rumors have it that she's quite far along."
I popped a chip in my mouth, "How far?"
"They say she's about eight months."
"Eight months..." I went quiet as I silently began to count the time.
My wolf growled as I counted. It's clear as water, right in front of us that he cheated!
Jared was six months old right now. If she had conceived after me, she would be five months or something along. If she's eight months along, it means it happened when I was in my seventh month.
"She was already pregnant while I was still married to him." I muttered as my hands clenched. "That's why he was so eager to make me look like the unfaithful one... So he could marry her and be the father of his legitimate heir after my exile."
"He didn't want me even if I was his mate because of that child. The one in my belly was another man's and he didn't want it in front of his own. That bastård. I will destroy him."
Oakley immediately touched my arm, "Don't let it get to you, Jenna. You're in a better place now, aren't you? Why bother thinking about him! He's not that important."
"He's not important, Oakley. But he accused me of carrying another man's child and ruined my reputation in that pack. He ruined my image all while he's the one who was cheating on me." I got up angrily. "I waited all this time because Jared was still very young and fragile. He's old enough to stay without me. I'll execute my revenge now."
"I think it's time he experienced what it feels like when you're humiliated publicly and ripped off your title, and thrown out."
"You're scaring me, Jenna." Oakley blew out a breath.
"Why are you so worried, Oakley? I'm not going to do anything that would bring problems for Jace or the kingdom." We departed to our respective rooms after that.
Jared was with mom. He was playing with her. I left them alone and went to my study room. It's in the adjoining room having Jace's study.
I opened my laptop and began to study Chris' pack.
This time I'm certain. I'm not going to spare him and his doctor. A flood of humiliation is coming for them. And I'm the one who will establish it.

Jace's POV
Evening,
The charity event was boring. This is one of those times when I had to force myself to be present, though my mind was elsewhere.
Nevertheless, I have done this for so long that I am used to it. I smiled at people and pretended to be listening to them. When I got a moment alone, I sighed and gritted my teeth. I didn't want to be here, but duties come above everything else.
'It's going to be over in five minutes. Why are you so pissed!' Ranley nagged me.
I'm pissed because this was the most oppressive event of all time— the last few minutes. I couldn't wait for it to end.
Luckily, when it did, I hopped into my car and on my way home. I pulled out my phone to call my wife. The phone's piercing ringtone filled the air before I dialed her number.
"Yes, Oakley."
"Dude, your wife is finally thinking about revenge on her Ex."
My lips curled up in excitement, "Finally! I can't wait to see her kick his àss. Last time she was neither strong nor was I there to watch it. This time I'll take the front seat with a big bucket of popcorn."
"Are you for real, Jace!" My beta grunted. "She scared me, you know. The way she was talking about revenge when I told her about Chris' new wife being pregnant, it was frightening."
"That's what I love about her. She can be both— sweet and frightening."
"You're not serious, right. How can you be so cool about it? A woman executing revenge can lead to so many problems. Why don't you take care of him for her?" He made me frown.
"Oak, buddy, I didn't wait all these months to do it myself. You know I've got all the homework done. But I never touched Chris because I want to see what my Luna will do to him. He offended her, so legally it's her right to make him pay."
Oakley seemed in a mood to argue, however I cut the call and set my phone down. At home, I found my wife and mom in the living room. Jared was trying to crawl, they were encouraging him.
When he saw me, he let out an excited cry and rushed to come to me.
"My handsome baby!" I lifted him and swung him around.
"Look at that little brat. We've been trying to make him come to us but he won't move." Mom eyed me enviously.
"But he literally glided on the floor towards him." Jenna narrowed her eyes while she hmphed.
"Don't be jealous, ladies. We have a close connection. You won't understand." They both rolled their eyeballs as my son jumped happily in my arms, making me chuckle.
After dinner, I attended a quick nighttime meeting with Oakley and other officials. Then I retired to our room to find Jenna standing by the window alone.
"Where is Jared?" She turned. As my eyes settled on her face, a hot flood of desires ran through my veins.
"Out there in the gardens, taking a stroll."

Chapter 58 Jace's POV We were silent for a long time. Neither of us spoke. Suddenly Jenna lifted her face and eyes me innocently."What?" I chuckled. She nodded in no, "You burned Liza alive."My face stilled. I pulled her closer and joined our foreheads, "I had to. She was the bane of our family."I kissed her."Also," I added. "She made me doubt my wife's intentions. I had to punish her."At that, she hugged me tighter and rested her face on my shoulder. She was sitting straddling my waist while I held her like my toddler baby.My back had healed. Hence, I was able to sit this way.The doctors had been worried because the wound wasn't healing in my state of unconsciousness. That's the reason why they refused to give any answer. But the second I woke up, the wound healed, and all the residue of wolfsbane and silver was eliminated by my immune system."What happened to Chris and that lady?" I suddenly asked as I remembered those two."Both dead. And that lady was Doctor Henry's daug
Chapter 57Jenna's POV 'Thanks, bro. Head towards the Rogues' territory with your team. I'll meet you there.''Roger that!''Okay.'We broke the link. I sucked a sharp breath as I focused on the road ahead. If I drive at high speed, I'll get there in twenty minutes.Jenna, hold on for a while, love. Your husband is coming to get you.(Twenty minutes later)"Jace, finally you're here." Oakley came running towards my car as I applied brakes."Did you find her location?" I was not even fully out of the car."Yes, and already stationed our soldiers around the area." Oakley said, sending a wave of relief through me."Thank, goddess.""Don't worry, Jace. The situation is already in our control." Oakley flashed a shark grin and my eyebrows cocked in confusion. "Chris's soldiers look novice. They are not attentive at all, let alone alert.""I think he brought untrained wolves here. And I must add that his Beta and Gamma are not here either."I acknowledged with a nod, "He's probably doing it
Chapter 56Jenna's POV Jace has never touched her before. He hadn't done it this time either. It's that bìtch who always found ways to go near him.'There's no point in giving yourself false hope, Jenna. Jace isn't the man we thought he was. Accept it.' Gianna said.A feeling of disappointment rose over me. No! My wolf is not right here. She's hurt from Jace's wolf's words, and rest is the impact of wolfsbane.Jace loves us.'You really think that? Then tell me, why didn't he come after us when we left?'he He might have a reason.'No,' Gianna grunted weakly. 'It's because he was bewitched by his mistress's beauty and he chose her instead.'That's not true. I was breathless in anger. Gianna's words struck a chord that it shouldn't have.'I'll prove it to you that Jace still only loves us.'Having that said, I lowered my guard. I had blocked out everyone and their feelings to avoid getting caught. However, as I lowered my guard, I could feel my family's emotions— Jace's first. He was
Chapter 55Jenna's POVI regained my senses at the feeling of stabbing spasms stretching throughout my body. My eyelids were heavy and so I couldn't drag them open. But my other senses were working well.I could hear and smell and feel my surroundings. The air was crackling with the chirping of thousands of crickets, meaning that I was most likely in a forest area; or where there were a lot of trees.I dragged in a deep breath to catch scents, and realized that wood was burning somewhere. Then I heard the noise of fire crackling. A bonfire. I subtly rubbed my hand on the ground and sensed the coarse texture. Soil. All the elements directed to one point, I was in a forest. My eyes felt better now. I was about to open them when, "Hadn't she woken up yet?" A familiar voice asked."No, Alpha Chris. After she turned into her human form while fainting, she's been just like that." Someone said,It wasn't Cleo's voice. Hmm. Perhaps Chris flew all the way to Silent Hills city with a small team
Chapter 54Jace's POV "Let this be a lesson to all those who think they can fool the Alpha King just because I trust them." I announced as I paced around with a flaming torch in my hand. Behind me a pyre was built in the middle of the city for people to watch. On it Liza was tied to a pole. She was drenched with petrol and shaking. Her eyes were red. She begged me to let her go, that she was honestly apologetic. That she acknowledged her blunder and would go away. "My trust has never been a weakness. My willingness to believe in those who stand beside me does not make me blind, nor does my kindness make me a fool. I give people my trust because I choose to see the good in them. Because I consider them my previous ones. But the moment that trust is betrayed, do not mistake my silence for ignorance. And don't ever think that you can outsmart me."I came to a halt. The flames were crackling beside my face. It was night now, the sky was dark with no stars. There were light poles around
