Adrian's jaw clenched as he struggled to contain his emotions. "Why did you leave without a word? Without any explanation?" he demanded, his voice laced with pain and frustration. Lillian's cunning smile widened, revealing a touch of mischief. "Ah, Adrian, always dwelling on the past," she taunted. "But why should we talk about what happened three years ago? It's irrelevant now. I moved on, and so should you." Adrian's expression hardened, his voice turning colder. "I won't let you dismiss it so easily, Lillian," he said firmly. "There are things that need to be addressed, and I won't rest until I have answers." Lillian's smirk grew even more pronounced. "Oh, how noble of you, Adrian," she replied, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "But remember, we both have our secrets, don't we? Perhaps it's best if they remain buried, but I do have a proposal for you Mr Adrian." Lillian said all smiles “What makes you think I’d be interested in whatever you have to offer” Adrian said in a cold voice. Lillian seductively walked to the Adrian standing opposite her. She went close enough that all Adrian smelt was her body scent,Lillian leaned in and held his collar. Adrian's eyes widened in surprise as Lillian's lips brushed against his neck. His heart raced, caught off guard by her sudden boldness. "What the hell are you doing?" he managed to gasp, his voice laced with both confusion and desire. Lillian leaned back slightly, her eyes locked onto Adrian's, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "Marry me " she purred, her voice dripping with seduction.

"And why the hell are you looking so lost," Lillian asked, coldness apparent in her voice.
"I'm sorry Ma'am, I'll ensure this does not happen again," Mark said in a very serious tone.
After 10 minutes of silence.
Mark looked at Lillian only to find her blowing on her nails, only if one could wake up to this sight every day, there was no doubt why she is called the beautiful beast in the business world.
"Set up a meeting with the DE LUCA company" Lillian's beautiful voice rang out jolting Mark from his reverie.
"What!!! Ma'am, did I hear you right Ma'am? " Mark stuttered
"Do not make me repeat myself," Lillian answered coldly.
"Yes, Ma I'll set it up right away, excuse me." Mark scurried out of the office.
Lillian stood up and went around her desk in her seven inches heels she walked toward the glass staring down at 0the beautiful city of New York.
"Looking forward to meeting you Mr. Adrian." she smiled devilish...

"A meeting," Adrian said with a smirk on his face while sipping his coffee.
Joe looked at his boss who had his leg crossed over the other looking elegant and eloquent at the same time, he shook his head inwardly, can a man be this Beautiful?
Well, his boss is a golden bachelor who got girls swooning over him like flies after a piece of shit, on second thought, Joe thought his boss would have his head if he knew he was being compared to shit in his head, all the while looking calm on the surface.
He shook the thought of his mind and focused on his job
"Yes sir, the secretary called this afternoon to schedule a meeting with you sir, I think it's regarding the business deal we clinched with THE ROY GROUP OF COMPANY, they took the bait boss," Joe said looking solemn after answering the question.
Adrian's eyes deemed when he heard what his secretary said.
Contrary to Joe's expectations his boss wasn't too happy to hear what he said, or did he say something wrong he thought to himself.
"Put them on hold for the next two days before agreeing to the meeting." Adrian's voice rang out.
"Uhhm boss, I don't think they'd be willing to wait that long, they are a reputable company why put them off for two days." Joe said to Adrian looking calm giving the 'I trust you boss kinda look'.
With a smug smile on his perfect face, a chiseled jaw, a long nose, and blue eyes, Adrian is the perfect example of a Demi-God, who doesn't love a good-looking guy with his lips curled upwards he looked even more handsome and devilish.
"She has no choice, she owes me this much" Adrian stood up and went around his table looking at the bustling streets of New York, he reminisced about his dark past which hunts him every day of his life.
On the other side...
Lillian arrived at her penthouse in the heart of New York where she stayed.
She took the elevator all the way to the top floor, Lillian always felt like staying at the top of a penthouse was just the best, probably because of the beautiful view of New York, she always felt better watching the whole of New York from her balcony, that way she isn't lonely.
It started raining immediately Lillian entered her apartment, she hated the rain as it made her feel weak, vulnerable, and nostalgic about her past. And she never loved that feeling, three years ago she was wild young, and free and failed to see the bad in people, she was just Lillian then, not the cold heartless CEO everyone knows now, she was like every normal girl wanting to leave a normal life, but no they wouldn't let her have it. They turned her into a cold ruthless person who had no feeling, and she was going to pay them back in folds for what they did to her.
Now she's Lilian Facci a renowned powerful woman in the business world, the word smart, intelligent, and hardworking is the best word to define Lillian she has been a workaholic since she started building her empire. The beeping sound from the coffee machine jolted Lillian out of her thoughts.
Lillian decided it was time to take her bath then retire to bed.
After applying her facials Lillian was about to sleep, when the irritating sound of her phone ringing brought Lillian out of her reverie. She was so tired after having a terrible day at work. And on top of that her feet hurt from wearing heels all day. It is no easy job to be the CEO of a reputable company.
Lillian picked up her phone from the bedside table to check who was calling and she wasn't surprised at all by the name she saw, she hesitated for a while before picking up the call.
“Hello” Lillian said after answering the call “Finally, you decided to answer my call, and what with your secretary he wouldn't let me talk to you, telling me you're busy and can't talk, are you too busy to talk to your own mum huh” the voice on the other side of the phone was loud making Lillian to push the phone a bit from her ears, so her mums yelling doesn't burst her ears.
“Mum, I'm sorry, we had a really busy day in the office today, so I told Mark not to take personal calls. ”Lillian explained calmly. “Ohh is that so, that's good then, I hope you had something to eat baby,” Mrs. Facci said, “Yes, I ate mum” Lillian replied in a tired voice “Okay can I come to visit you at the company tomorrow,” the Mrs. Facci asked from the other side of the phone.“No mum I don't want you to start bugging me about getting married, you know I'm not ready, especially not after everything I went through three years ago and you know this mum ” Lillian answered coldly,” I know sweetheart, but you need to move on, it's in the past please dear do not deprive yourself the love you deserve” at this time, Mrs Facci was already sobbing from the other end of the phone. Lillian felt an incoming headache from what her mother said “It's fine mum please don't cry, I've heard what you said I know all this is just drama to get me to go out on a date ” Lillian rolled her eyes as she knew her mum loved to play the Emotional blackmail game” Will you really go Lillian.”
Mrs Facci asked excitedly “Yes, but on a condition that in the next three months no more going on dates mum, do you agree.” Lillian said with a serious expression on her face” I agree sweetheart, I'll send you the Location” her mum said from the other end of the phone.
“Alright mum I need to sleep it's 1 A.M in the morning already, you can talk to Mark about the details of the date tomorrow, I need to sleep, I'm exhausted. ” Lillian said in a sleepy tone.
“Alright sweetheart, have a nice rest” Mrs Facci replied.“I will mum, you too,” Lillian said and hung up laying in bed to sleep. How have you been Sarah" Lillian asked not minding the sarcastic reply she received. "I've been good" Sarah gave a short reply. Lillian knew Sarah was vexed about whatever had happened 3years ago and she wouldn't blame her for expressing herself in this manner. "Sarah, am sorry. I just needed to be alone for sometime I just needed my peace to gather my thought." Lillian "You know, I thought we were sisters. I thought we moved past the friends kind of relationship. But NO you never took me as your sister. Because if yh did you wouldn't have left like you did." She paused seeing that she's was getting emotional. "You wouldn't hide from me, you wouldn't wait so long to talk to me again Lillian," she continued tear rolling down her beautiful face. Lillian couldn't stop the tear that slipped down her face, she moved to her and hugged her. Lillian's heart sank as she saw the pain reflected in Sarah's eyes. Taking a deep breath, she reached out and gently touched Sarah's hand.

Adrian, "I'll pour you wine, since am in a good mood today" "Cheers to you guys" Tyler raised his wine poured by Adrian still shocked tho"Cheers" both Lillian and Adrian said. After taking a sip Tyler looked at the empty seat beside him. "Still expecting someone?" Lillian looked at Adrian, waiting for an answer. She couldn't get him to say who was coming. The car came to a halt in front of the beautiful condo. Nancy opened the door, and Lillian stepped out. Her normally composed and haughty demeanor was replaced by ravaging beast with a mix anger and entitlement.Looking up, she glared at the maid, Helen, her voice dripping with condescension. "When did you hear all this, Helen?Helen, a middle-aged woman with a weathered face, looked at Tasha's beautiful but distorted face, her eyes avoiding direct contact. She bowed her head, a gesture of submission. "Young Miss, I overheard the conversation while cleaning the room next to the study.
