“Ugh…” A moan escaped from my lips when he licked my neck. He gripped my backside and pulled me closer to him, which crushed my bosom against his chest.

Slowly, I felt the sticky water coming out of my center. As I opened my eyes, everything was blurry. Shit.

The man moaned and tightened his embrace to the soft pillow in his hands. I didn’t see his face, so I slowly stood up and took my clothes. I felt my adrenaline rush with anxiety. I hope he won't wake up because what happened between us last night was only a mistake.

As I successfully wore my clothes, I didn’t even dare to look at him for the last time. I didn’t need to talk to him because I was sure that it was only merely fucked, nothing serious at all. Aside from that, I was getting married to the man that I love the most.

I smacked my forehead while I was entering the elevator. What happened last night? I remember that Ava had prepared a bridal shower for me because she was my maid of honor.

“Shit! You’re too stupid, Katrina!” I whispered and began pulling my hair in irritation.

When I went back to my home, the maid was the one who greeted me. She seemed to panic while she was rushing in my direction.

“Katrina, where did you go? Your father is searching for you! Ava returns here without you!” she exclaimed.

I bit my lip to suppress the fear that came inside of me. Shit. No, I didn’t need to panic because no one would ever know what happened between me and that man!

“Katrina, where did you go? Did you even think what your fiance might think?”

I paused instantly when I heard my father screaming out of his lungs. My eyes widened when my cheek turned numb when his palm landed on it.

“Daddy! Why did you slap her? She didn’t do anything wrong!” Ava shrieked, and she was so panicked that she ran toward me. She pulled me behind her back.

“No! I want to know what she did! Her wedding is in two months, and she dared to do some nasty tricks on me! She will ruin my plan to be connected with the Smiths!” My father burst out in anger.

“D-Dad, I didn’t do anything wrong. I will still marry Lance, and you don’t need to worry about it.” I stammered while I was trying to make him feel better. He gasped, but his eyes were still sharp as if he was too ready to swallow me.

“Don’t do anything stupid, or else I will fucking kill you!” He shouted before he left us. Ava looked at me with concern before she held my hand. She was panting before she dragged me to my bedroom.

“Where did you go? I’m looking for you, but you’re missing! Did you even know that Dad almost choked me in anger?" She exclaimed while she was walking back and forth. Her hands turned into a fist.

“Did you even do anything stupid? Katrina, please tell me you didn’t do anything wrong! Dad will kill us!” she added.

“Ava, I didn’t do anything wrong. You don’t need to worry.” I lied. She stopped walking and sighed in relief. She had finally calmed down, and I saw a handprint on her cheeks. She looked away when she noticed I had already seen Dad hurt her because I was missing.

“I’m sorry,” I mumbled.

“Just make sure of your wedding.”

I was anxious. I didn’t know what I should say to Ava to make her feel better, but all I could do was lie. I had sex with a stranger and didn’t even know who he was. However, I don’t have the strength to let Ava know what happened to me. She might blame herself because she was the one who prepared the bridal shower.

“Are you okay?” Auntie Divina asked me when I came out of my room. She seemed curious that I was pale and weak. I slowly nodded to her before I strolled toward the kitchen. She watched me like a hawk but didn’t say anything after that.

“You didn’t eat last night. I know you are stressed because tomorrow is your wedding, but you don’t need to neglect yourself.” She couldn’t stop herself from telling me her opinion. The truth was it’s been two months since I was vomiting. My taste buds changed, and I always ate some spicy food.

“I’m fine, Auntie. I’m stressed because of the wedding.”

“You’re the bride and must be beautiful at your wedding.”

“I know. I need to rest.”

Auntie Divina sighed before she said, “Are you pregnant? Lance will be happy if he finds out you are carrying his child. You know, I know that you both have been together for so long, and there’s nothing wrong if you two have sex since the wedding is tomorrow.”

My expression turned sour when she mentioned being pregnant. She smiled at me, but her eyes showed a strange emotion.

“You don’t like to eat spicy food, but you are eating it now. Aside from that, I always caught you vomiting. Did you check yourself?”

My heart was thumping too fast. No, I’m not pregnant.

“I don’t think so. Auntie, I didn’t have sex with Lance, and we only kissed several times.”

“That’s good. Virginity is the best gift for your husband!” She shouted happily.

However, I had sex with the mysterious man but didn’t know who he was. I quickly went to the nearest pharmacy and bought dozens of pregnancy tests to ensure I was pregnant. My hands were trembling when the results came in.

Slowly, the second line became evident, which made me panic in fear. I stared at the eleven pregnancy tests on the floor, which were positive. Shit!

“Katrina, let’s go! The make-up artist is coming.” Ava knocked on the door, and I quickly took the eleven pregnancy tests and threw them in the trash can. I stared at the mirror and ensured I was presentable before opening the door.

It was Ava who I first saw, and she was smiling wide at me. She pulled me out of the toilet and helped me to sit. My eyes were bloodshot, and I continued sniffing because of the revelation I discovered.

“Wedding jitters?” she asked me. She helped the makeup artist make sure that my swollen eyes wouldn’t be noticeable. I was looking at her, and seeing how excited she was made me stop getting suspicious of her.

“Ava, I want to know when we are in the bridal shower; who was with me when I went missing?”

She paused for a moment while her hands were from my hair.

“It’s me and Brenda. Why are you asking?”

I was stunned. I didn’t know that Brenda went to the bridal shower because I could remember her telling me she wouldn’t be coming. After all, her schedule for being an artist and a model was busy!

“I didn’t know that Brenda came.”

“She is. You’re so drunk that time when she came. She was with you when you left, and I tried to find you, but she told me that you want to get a rest.”

I was startled when I heard a loud knock coming from the door. When it opened, I saw my father walking towards us. “We need to go to church! It’s late!”

My father was panicking, and I opened my phone to call Lance, but he wasn’t answering his phone. As we reached the church, the wedding coordinator started the wedding. Everything was fast, and I didn’t know what I should do when I saw Lance's eyes were bloodshot while he was staring at me.

When I finally came before her, I heard the guests murmuring that the priest had cleared her throat. Lance gripped my hand, but he was looking at me, heartbroken.

“I can’t believe that you ruined our relationship, Katrina.” He uttered that made my lips parted.

“Bitch! How dare you continue your wedding while carrying someone else's child!” Lance's mother shouted in anger, which surprised the guests. Suddenly, I saw myself sleeping, and a man was beside me. However, he wasn’t the man I had slept with; he was different.

“Katrina, what is the meaning of this?” My father screamed and was about to attack me when Lance removed his hand from me and walked out of the church.

“L-Lance, no!” Tears fell from my cheeks, and I tried to follow him, but I slipped and fell from the red carpet. I crumpled in pain before I blacked out.

I woke up in the middle of the time when Auntie Divina and my father fought. She was so mad at my father for being so heartless to me. My father was giving me his death stare while gnashing his teeth.

I flinched when he cupped my chin and held it firmly. I wailed in pain when he almost squeezed my face.

“Abort the baby! Beg Lance so he shall forgive you, and I will accept you in our family again! I can't believe that you put our family to shame!” He screamed at the top of his lungs. He gasped to get air and looked at Auntie Divina sharply. “Ask the doctor to remove the baby. That child is a bastard and doesn't have a part in our family!”
