Chapter 23- Interrogate

   I sat in the hospital room with Cat all night. She didn’t move or make a sound as she slept in the bed. Preston let me know that the two rogues we had were healing from flesh wounds and had shifted back to their human forms. They were given clothes and water like I had instructed, and nothing more. It was close to four in the morning when they went back to his house to finally rest. 

   I didn’t sleep worth a damn on the hospital chair next to Cat’s bed. It was hard and uncomfortable but I wouldn’t leave her side. Someone needed to be here when she woke up and I wanted to be that someone. I hope she wakes up soon so I can take her home. I couldn’t sleep on this damn chair for too many more nights.
