Chapter 25: The Alpha's Joy

Ashton's POV

I woke up feeling incredibly happy with my mate beside me. For the first time in a long time, I wasn’t dreading the day, I was looking forward to it. Today, I would introduce Lauren to my parents and siblings, and later tonight, to the entire pack at the town hall. I felt relaxed and ready to start the day, eager to show Lauren off with pride. I had even decided to skip training this morning so we make love in the shower and maybe think about other places to explore later tonight. I would never tire of hearing Lauren’s cries of pleasure.

Clothes had been brought for both Lauren and Meliza, and I took them down to the dining hall for breakfast. As we entered, I received a mind-link from one of the nurses that Maya was awake. I knew her sisters would want to bring her a plate, and I hoped the food and the visit would help speed her healing. I was also looking forward to Gabriel’s arrival. I couldn’t wait for him to meet his Luna.
