Damien's POV

“I need to speak with you, Damien,” Kayla snapped as she marched into the room. “Someone told me you got a call from another woman today. If you think I’m going to sit back and let you cheat on me, think again. I’m your Luna. It’s me or no one. You need to try harder to get me pregnant. Now that Maya is gone, you should finally give me a fair chance. You used to try. But ever since you marked me, it’s like you’ve lost all interest.”

Her tone shifted into a whine, but I cut her off.

“First of all, stay out of my business. Second, I never had real interest in you to begin with. You got what you wanted, Kayla. You’re Luna. So stop whining and stop accusing me of cheating. It was only one time my foot slipped after I marked you, and you know that. But you don’t get to dictate what I do. I’m the Alpha. If I decide someone else will bear my pups, you’ll accept it. You’ll smile and play the role you begged for.”
