Annie was spreading her washed clothes on the line when she heard someone banging the gate. She wanted to ignore at first cos she was the only one at home and wasn't expecting anyone at that moment and she's heard of the serial kidnaps in Kano recently,
she feared it was one of them that was planning a gimmick to enter into her house and kidnap her.
She spread the last cloth and moved towards the gate. "Who's there?" She asked in a low tone.
