Chapter 009
Xiao woke up wherein she still feels half-asleep. An enigma of her being in a dizzy state and having a dark grey vision made her feel nauseous. She was rubbing her eyes still, feeling the itchiness it offers and the urge of wanting it to be gone in an instant. Although feeling dizzy, she still managed her way up and tried getting away from the bed. As soon as she did, that’s when her head strikes a pain, causing an instant halt for her body as soon as the aching delved deeper. Damn it. A hangover. That’s when some realizations hit up; scenes of certain memory flashed through her eyes; vivid yet evanescent.
A small growl escaped from Xiao’s lips while she was caressing the top of her head, messing her hair a little. She winced as the aching dived in once again, causing her to feel triple of the pain than the first one. She kept growling and wincing which made her sit down on the top of the duvet of her bed. She even let out a huge
Chapter 010The approaching Hei Xuan made Jun somewhat uneasy. He didn’t know what was the exact reason but he somehow felt that it was wrong. And that he should do something about it. But for what reason? Jun had thought. As there’s nothing initial to think about, it was just simply a gut feel that Hei Xuan shouldn’t be here.“Oh finally, you came back. We really thought you already ditched us,” Jun watched Wendy’s words and the urge of stopping her to further talk made Jun really uncomfortable as he didn’t know he’s supposed to do it. Knowing him, he wasn’t the type of person minding others’ businesses.“I’m sorry if it took me a while. I just had some call to take.”“Hmm. Do you perhaps have a lot of girls? That was your excuse too earlier when the dinner started.”“No,” Hei simply answered, indicating he didn’t want the conversat
Chapter 011Xiao was still in deep thoughts about the incident happened yesterday, lurking at the idea of how could she manage to perish in an instant. She knew that it was really the end of everything, and she didn’t know how she could even manage to get away from the embarrassment. It was too much to handle. A soft knock from the door made Xiao’s thoughts scramble, although, she wasn’t in the right state to face the person behind its wooden walls. Thinking at how miserable she was, she just couldn’t dare to. The soft knocks became stronger as the person behind started calling out for her name, “Miss Xiao... Miss Xiao... are you already awake? It’s time for your breakfast. I’m gonna open the door now.”She wanted to shout and tell her to not open the door, but she’s already too late because her maid was already inside her room. Xiao looked at the maiden in uniform as she was holding a tray filled with food—an
Chapter 012Yamato’s fingers twitched as soon as he felt waking up. The man was comfortably laying down on its own hospital bed albeit the fact that his body hurts like hell, he was still elated to see himself opening his own eyes as he witnessed the whole white ceilings. He marvelled upon the fact that he could move still although his movements were totally limited. He looked around the room, but he couldn’t move his head as he noticed his neck was supported with a cervical collar, preventing him to perform head turns. He used his eyes to search the room, and was even happier to see someone sleeping on the hospital bed, its head wasn’t facing towards him and he could only see the hair but he already knew who it was. It wasn’t because of guessing, but it came from his heart. He knew by heart whom it was elated for.“Xiao... my princess...” he called out, as he tried reaching the top of her head, although it took time because he could
Chapter 013Clutching her necklace, Xiao had practically made herself hidden behind her backpack albeit it wasn’t much of help as she was walking down the benches of the covered court. She was covering just her face using her backpack, silently praying to remain unnoticed. But, realizing that the goddess of luck wouldn’t always help her in times of need, she heavily sighed as soon as she was called by her name. And the fact that it wasn’t coming from just a single person’s voice, made her panic internally.“Xiao! Xiao! Come here! We’re here!” group of people were chanting those words and Xiao was taken aback when she realized the owners of the voices. She turned her head in a snap, investigated her surroundings, and especially, started searching for the faces of people whom she didn’t expect to see. Although it was already confirmed by their voices, but she was still immobilized as soon as her eyes met theirs. ‘
Chapter 014Xiao was once again reminded by the past wherein she confessed his feelings to someone only to end up receiving equal opposite of happiness. Looking at Jun, she couldn’t suppress the embarrassment she feels. It was constantly taking over her. She just couldn’t calm herself as she kept looking away from the lad. Wendy, on the other hand, started to become bothered by the feeling of awkwardness they have during that very moment. She knew something was going on, just by the looks of the other two were emanating... For sure something’s up, Wendy had thought before proceeding to ask Jun once more.“Aren’t you here because you have something to tell me? You called my name.”“Ah, yeah. I’m sorry I was mistaken.”“What?”“I’m supposed to call Xiao,” he mentioned her name but he was looking away, obviously feeling the immensity between the two. Xiao rath
Chapter 015“Xiao!” Wendy was waving at her and it kinda made Xiao confused. Since when did she and Wendy became close, she literally had no idea. It all just started in a blink of an eye. She became close with the squad. What made it more intriguing, where she expected everyone to get her nerves once again, it did not happen. It was truly intriguing and questioning. She started to become more confused with the sudden escalation of things. She thought after what happened during the celebration night for Hei, she’ll be doomed. But what happened was the actual opposite. And even until now, a week had passed, she’s still in perplexity.“Come here, Xiao! What are you standing for over there?” Wendy shouted amidst the ocean of people. Xiao was holding her own tray of food whilst standing in the middle of the canteen, totally left confused. She meant, she hasn’t get used to the squad’s interactive moments yet and still. It was
Chapter 016Some things weren’t just meant for Xiao, as what she had thought; there were just some unfortunate things she didn’t wish to happen yet unstoppable for her to do so. She somehow once thought what she has done in her past life to experience such ill-fated events in her current life. She somehow thought she was cursed for such life. She wasn’t surely happy with how things turned out as soon as she’s born in this world called Earth.Actually, she never was.If she’s given a chance to relive life, she would definitely choose the opposite decisions she has ever made. She would make sure to never repeat the same mistakes all over again. She would promise to her other self, she would grab any chance to be happy and not to live life full of regrets.Because if she wouldn’t, she’ll just reface all circumstances where she really felt miserable and it’d be a loss of chance, totally.“What are y
Chapter 017“What do you mean...” Xiao snapped back to reality as Xander’s voice echoed once again through her ears. She was forced to face him in order to give him the stagnation she wanted for him to see.“Xander, you know what I’m talking about. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten about yesterday,” she pursed her lips upon the reminiscing memory she has to endure. The sight of something she couldn’t hold on; it was truly tormenting. And it became even worse when she finally found out about her inner intentions. She thought it was just a mere feeling, but she was wrong. It was way deeper, and it was proven upon the sight of him witnessing something he shouldn’t have seen in the beginning. Truly embarrassing. And what’s funnier was, I wasn’t even aware of my feelings. So dumb of me, Xiao had thought, shifting her eyes away from Xander as the latter cleared his throat.“I’m s
