Chapter Six| More.

I watched Amelia work with no break, she would look out into the view as she scanned the papers into her computer.

Her right foot tapped slowly with the sound of the printer while softly humming a song. She seemed really invested in her work and spent as much time in there as possible.

Whenever I called her into my office, she would rush through everything I said and disappeared back into her office.

Her attire had completely caught me off guard and I couldn't help but think of how gorgeous she looked, she had been stuck in my mind the whole weekend and I couldn't wait to see her again, but I slowly grew impatient as I saw her not coming into work at an appropriate time and I might've let my annoyance take over me when I spoke to her.

She wore a grey dress that held on to every curve of her body, I could see it ride up every time she would walk and there was a number of times she tried to pull it down just to have it ride up again.

She finally gave up on her dress and concentrated at the task at hand and was moving at great speed. I was particularly worried at the fact that since she got here, she hasn't had a break of some sort besides her tour.

I got up from my chair and walked over to her office, standing by the door, I knocked twice letting my presence known to her. She looked up at me and immediately pulled down her dress.

"Amelia, have you eaten yet?" I asked softly letting her know this was the JJ side of me asking.

"No, I'm fine, Mr Daniels," she answered monotonously and I sighed walking into the office, it's pretty clear that she's still upset.

"You have to eat, Lia," I tried again standing directly in front of her and she looked back down to the printer.

"I have to finish the work assigned to me by you, I think it's what I have to do seeing that I was late, indefinitely," she said under her breath sliding in a paper into the printer but it made a weird sound and she cursed under her breath pressing a button a million times before resting both her hands on the printer.

She turned around grabbing a stack of papers and a USB stick from her computer while cursing profoundly at whatever or whoever she was cursing at.

"Lia?" I called out for her as she left me in her office.

"What?" she turned around abruptly and had an annoyed look on her face, she stared at me with her eyebrow raised as she waited for me.

"Take a break and eat," I said sternly and she pulled her lips into a straight line.

"I will eat when I'm hungry, stop worrying about me, you're not my friend," she said and turned walking away to the elevator and my eyes were fixed on her ass, wrong I know but I couldn't help it.

'You're not my friend', well I definitely wasn't expecting that, from her too. Firstly, I was glad she was actually working but I didn't like the fact that she was working just so that she could avoid me.

Secondly, she wasn't taking care of herself - which is a huge lie because Amelia really does take care of herself- she had to eat and she wasn't going to do that just because, well I don't know why.

I wanted the bubbly, Amelia, the one who was always smiling around me and I didn't know what to do at this exact moment to bring her back, but the best thing right now was to just let her cool off and get her food, I know she's starving where she is.

I left the office and went to the local cafe getting us both food and an Ice tea for her while I got myself coffee with cream. Once I made it back into the office I saw that she still hadn't come back from wherever she went.

I called her cellphone and noticed she left it in her office, so I went looking for her in the rooms that had printers in them, on our floor but she wasn't there. I ended up in the eighteenth floor and I heard some giggles and manly chuckles coming from a room.

I peeked inside the room and found Amelia standing with some other man laughing at whatever he said. Surprisingly enough she was actually still scanning the documents in as she conversed with the guy and she seemed to be really interested in what he said.

He was tall, but shorter than me, had black short hair and was skinny but the suit did somehow manage to give us a bit of illusion that he was slightly bigger than what he really is, I wasn't finding anything he said funny. It was all ridiculous jokes trying to get my Amelia's attention on him.

I decided to make my presence known by clearing my throat with my hands in my pockets, the man jumped and Amelia just rolled her eyes packing up her stack properly.

"Ms Adams, I don't think in your work description there are details of you leaving your office to come flirt with men, it isn't what I pay you for," I said and she cocked her head to the side probably thinking of something smart to say.

"Yes sir, I was just finishing off the-" I didn't allow her to finish whatever she was going to say because she didn't answer me the way I wanted her too, the way I know she normally would.

"In my office, we have work to do."

"Yes sir," she answered and I turned walking back to the elevator waiting on her. She finally caught up to me and we entered the elevator together. She stared at the silver doors and I stared at her side profile.

She was magnificent, she had a beauty spot right next to her left eye, light wrinkles on her cheek proving that she had a deep dimple that would always show whenever she talked or smiled or laughed, frowned, yawn, stick out her tongue, or chew on her lip like she was right now. I think I was making her nervous.

The elevator finally opened up on our floor and I let her step out first following right behind her, she rushed into her office and closed the door. I made space on my desk and set our food so that we could eat, well so that I could watch her eat.

"You said we had work to do, what is it?" she asked with her arms crossed over her chest and I pointed to the chair in behind my desk, well my chair so that she could sit down.

"Sit," I said and she looked at me defiantly. "Amelia, sit down."

She obeyed and sat down on my chair throwing daggers my way as I took off my jacket and sat down on the chair in front of my desk.

"Eat," I commanded and she stared at the food in front of her before taking a small bite of her tortilla wrap. She sunk back into the chair as she sighed chewing her food slowly. She took another bite, but this was one was bigger than the first and moaned lowly closing her eyes.

"This is really good," she said more to herself than me and I smiled happy that I made the right choice.

We didn't engage in any conversation as we ate and I was okay with that, although I really love talking to her but I guess there are some things we still have to get past.

"Thank you for the food," she said softly as she got up from my chair and I nodded grabbing the rubbish and throwing it away. She disappeared into her office and I figured that I should also get some work done.

An hour later she came back out with the USB stick, with her handbag.

"Here is all the paper stacks in one file and in the correct order, sir," she handed me the stick. "Goodnight."

I quickly saved what I was working on and grabbed my jacket and bag running towards her.

"Lia, I'll take you home," I said a bit too excitedly and she shook her head smiling.

"It's okay, Chris is already waiting for me downstairs," she said as she pressed the ground level button.

"Chris?" I hope it's not that jerk she was talking to in the printer room.

"Yeah, my personal bodyguard. You do know that I'm more than just a PA right," she joked and I chuckled. So much more indeed.

"Yeah, and I'm sorry for my behaviour earlier on," I said pushing my locks away from my face.

"It's okay, you were being a CEO," she said stepping out of the elevator into the reception area. "See you tomorrow, Mr Daniels," she waved walking towards a man who took her bags chuckling at what she was saying to him.

I guess I'll have to wait for tomorrow to see her again.
