‘Why didn’t he reply to my text? Did something happen?’ The thought of Aster did not leave my mind even after I got on the bus and plunged into the third seat.

When the bus drove away, I kept on wondering and assuming things about Aster, as I didn’t want his well-established character to be destroyed.

At the next stop, when the bus stopped, Tarry showed up and, sitting next to my seat, he greeted me, “Hey! Goodmorning.”

“Goodmorning!” I replied, forcing a smile and looked away.

“Prisha, why the hell are you ignoring my calls?” Kristen’s loud voice flinched me and made me avert my gaze at her.

Standing before me, she had her brows raised. Rolling my eyes, I looked away from her.

“How dare you?” she mumbled, but I didn’t care.

“Fine, if you want to be angry with me, that's okay. But at least move aside so that I can sit along,” she said, but I turned deaf to her words.
