Calista’s POV

I stood there, just a few steps away from the window, watching her walk out. Anna was finally leaving. At long last.

She didn’t look back. Not once.

A part of me expected her to, you know? Just one small glance over her shoulder, something that showed she wasn’t as strong as she was pretending to be. But she didn’t give me that. She just walked away with her head high as if not to give up her loss.

I was a little tense but had to keep a straight face.

‘Finally.’

I let out a sigh of relief that lasted as long as 10 minutes to me,, letting the silence of the hallway wrap around me. Everything I’d been working toward… it was finally aligning. The obstacle was gone. The mess was cleared. No more competition. No more reason to pretend.

Anna leaving wasn’t something I could take credit for—Selena handled that all on her own—but I wasn’t about to complain. If anything, I saw it as a sign. Selena wasn’t part of my plan… but maybe the Moon Goddess was helping me in her own way. B

  • You rejected your Luna: One Chance is all you Get.    Chapter 82

Calista’s POVIt’s been a week since Anna left.Seven long days since everything fell apart. And now… here I am.Back home.I didn't want to come back but I because I couldn't choice no to. I couldn't pretend not to hate this. As I walked closer to the pack's borders, every step I took was an inch towards a painful past I didn't want anymore. I left in utter disgrace, without pride and a coat of humiliation. I had walked into Mattias’s pack believing I was walking toward my future. His Luna. His partner. Someone who would stick to his side in all. Instead I left with my heart and dreams in fragments and with nothing in hand. What made it worse? It wasn’t even Mattias who truly threw me away.No.It was Selena. The same Selena I thought was God-sent to help me, to make things easier for me there. In just two days, she ruined everything I’d been trying to build for weeks. Two days. That was all she did to replace me, to have Mattias attention as if she was the only one who meant bu

  • You rejected your Luna: One Chance is all you Get.    Chapter 81

Mattias' POVIf it had been a night mare or an early morning panic that made me short of breath, I'd have preferred it. But the bitter truth was it was reality hitting me with its cruel fists. The space next to me was empty—again. Cold and untouched. She was no longer present.I've tried a number of times to ignore it, but Anna's absence hit me harder every morning. My room had become too quiet, too plain. The warmth I used to feel when I’d walk in… it disappeared the moment she walked out of my life.I disliked it.And what made me even more bitter was the fact that I had started to retreat to my room more often. I felt it was more of a self punishment, or probably because her scent still lingered heavy in the air like perfume. I was unaware. Life just felt like a replay now that I kept going back to the room as if a miracle might happen.I moved to the edge of my bed against my body's will and cupped my face with my palms.Things didn't change but that didn't mean everything felt ri

Anna's POVIt’s been 7 days now since I left the pack house for another life.I never knew how strong I was, not until being strong was my only way out. When I first stepped out, lost, confused, carrying nothing but a bag and a storm in my chest, I had no idea where I was headed. I just walked. That’s all I could do.‘I’ll find shelter soon,’ I repeated in my head like a mantra, hoping that the universe would smile at me for once.Fortunately, the moon must’ve taken pity on me… because Yvonne found me. Surprisingly so.The look on her face, it was like she’d found something precious that had slipped through her fingers. She didn’t scold me. She didn’t even ask questions. She just wrapped her jacket around my shivering shoulders and told me I was coming with her.“H-How did you find me?” I asked, genuinely curious as I quivered under the blanket. She sized me up and sighed, “Are you seriously asking me that? You know you're my priority, I always, always have my eyes on you.”Then she a

  • You rejected your Luna: One Chance is all you Get.    Chapter 78

Mattias’ POVThe sun was down. The feeling was like that of a person traveling to somewhere new and unable to sleep overnight, with the night being so long and boring.I was just looking through window, staring out into nothing or maybe my brain made me think, but not really seeing anything. My mind had been in a state of chaos all day, and now that it was night, the weight in my chest had grown heavier. Tonight was the night Anna had to leave. And I was letting it happen. It didn’t matter how many times I told myself it was for the best. That this was what had to be done. The decisions taken did not make it easier either. After thinking for a while that lasted an eternity in my brain, I found myself moving from the window. Her door was cracked open, just slightly. I stood at the entrance for a while. She moved around the room getting things from different locations in the room. She had her bag on the bed. Her hands were slow, deliberate. Folding one piece of clothing after another

  • You rejected your Luna: One Chance is all you Get.    CHAPTER 77

Mattias’ POVThe night air was rather different from what I was used to.I stood at the edge of the pack house balcony, lost in my thoughts, replaying everything that had happened in the last few hours. The words Selena said… the way she looked at Anna… and the silence that came from me. That part hurt the most.I should’ve said something. But I didn’t.I just stood there. Now I couldn’t stop thinking about how Anna looked at me when I didn’t speak. Like she expected something. Anything. A word. A nod. A hand reached out. And I gave her none of it.I wasn’t happy because of that. It’s not like I didn’t want to defend her. I just… froze. Stuck between what I knew was right, and what I knew would explode if I challenged Selena then and there. But still. That didn’t make the silence any less loud.I sighed and leaned my head back, soliloquizing although I don't know what I was talking about but mostly regret. I closed my eyes as the breeze hit my face. It was cool, but it did nothing to
