NYRA
~»
My wolf runs through the thick forest, thorns piercing my skin.
The coldness that settles in the woods grip my soul and I stop under a tree, my chest thudding heavily.
I wince, I'm bleeding. My wolf is hurt and shattered.
How can I help it?
I had just committed a grave offense and even Mireya, my wolf cannot explain.
Confusion envelopes my world and my pathetic life is left hanging by a single thread.
I had just managed to escape, breaking out of prison but my freedom can't last forever, I know that.
My hope fades, the Pack guards might find me any sooner and when they do….all my hope is lost, Alpha Zane would definitely kill me.
"Child." A strange voice howls in the forest and my wolf whimpers.
I move backwards, going deeper into the forest as I try to shield my self.
The voice sounds again, this time more louder and piercing.
"Who are you?" I growl, fear gripping my soul like a vice.
"I'm Banshee Kali, the legendary witch."
I gasp, "Why are you hiding?" I demand, my voice sharp, My instincts ache.
"My body no longer exist but my soul and I can only communicate with you while I'm invisible."
"What brings you here? What business do you have with me?"
She chuckles lightly and replies, "your magical powers show potentials and I'm impressed by your healing abilities. You might be confused as to why the Luna, your sister, lost her baby when you touched her."
She pauses and continues, "it isn't by any chance coincidental but my doing."
My heart drops to my chest when I hear her.
"Why? Why would you do that, now the whole Pack thinks I'm a witch."
"Of course you are now because I have chosen you to promote the Dark magic legacy."
My lips tremble as I don't, clutching my chest, "why would you choose me of all people?"
Dark magic are forbidden in my Pack and witches are prohibited too.
The Pack see them as a threat and as I have heard from night tales, a war transpired between witches and wolves a century ago because of one the witches murdered an Alpha.
"I never murdered him, the accusations are all lies."
My head snaps up when I hear her, she hears my thoughts too?
"You're invading my thoughts, such rude witch." I hiss and a loud laughter erupts from her.
"I was a healer just like you and my job was to look after the sick Alpha's son but one day, my powers went beyond control while I was trying to heal his deep wounds….the Alpha's heir died."
I don't care about her story, all I want to know is why she has chosen me.
"Why did you choose me? My life is pathetic enough." I sniff as I remember Alpha Zane's rejection and betrayal.
I've been hurt enough.
"Now that you have my powers, you can easily shield yourself from any attack."
My stomach churns with a bad feeling, why do I feel like she's using me?
"You want something and I know it." I insist, my voice hoarse.
"I want revenge and I've chosen you to help me get that. Even Moon Goddess doesn't preach injustice, I want you to help me seek revenge against the Crimson Hollow Pack." She began, her voice a mixture of pain and disgust,
"They wiped out every of my loved ones, I was willing to lay my life down as a punishment for causing The Alpha's heir death but they chose to cause me pain instead.
I managed to awaken my own soul even when my body was burned and just as I was roaming the Pack, I found you." She grins and my gut twists painfully.
No, I won't be a part in this. If she wants revenge then she should take it herself and cease using me.
"I don't want to help you, the fight happened a century ago so why do you want revenge now?"
Banshee Kali laughed— a loud wicked laughter.
"Your job is to wipe the whole of Crimson Hollow Pack or you'd die in three days." She proclaims and my heart stops beating in my chest.
"The dark magic is irrevocable by any mortal and as long as you are carrying a vessel of me in you, your acts would be controlled by me, so whether you like it or not, you're going to do as I say!"
I froze, turning to ice. What have I gotten myself into?
I have been trapped by this Selfish witch!
I try to speak and counter her but the commotion from afar catches my attention and immediately,
They're so far away but with my wolf's sharp eyesight I can see them even in the dark.
The people seated on the chariots are obviously warriors. And on the leading horse is seated a brooding wolf, beautiful and muscular.
"They're from warriors from Raventhorn Pack— a mighty and dangerous Pack which the Alpha King— Lucien Wolfsong oversees.
He's found of collecting rejected wolves and when he sees you, he'll take you as captive." Banshee Kali informs and I shudder backwards in fear as they approach.
"Do something." I cry, gazing around even when I can't see her. "They come near!" I scream but Banshee replies me with a loud laughter.
W...what?
"This is the time to prove yourself, let's see what you've got, vessel." Banshee Kali says, her voice edgy.
"Since you're so adamant on doing what I say, let's see if you can help yourself now. If you survive this then I'd take back my magic from you."
At that moment, the air lightens and I don't feel the witch's presence anymore.
How can I possibly save myself from the Alpha King?
I body shift back to human form and hide myself under the dry leaves. Only now can my scent be less sensitive.
I hear Alpha King Lucien order the others to stop. Their horses halt and I hear their footsteps marching towards where I am.
"Stop!" He roars a command and his men retreat. I think they're going to leave until I hear Alpha Lucien's voice again.
"What a lovely abandoned wolf we've got here." He smirks as he pulls me from beneath.
When I see him sniff in, my brow widen and my heart capsizes.
Alpha Kings like him have the ability to access a wolf's spirit and see if the mate bond is still intact.
How do I escape him now?? I have just moved from frypan to fire.
LUCIEN~»I staggered into the heart of the pack house courtyard. My black coat was torn, matted with dried blood, and claw marks ran deep across my side. Every step I took was laced with pain, but I didn’t stop. Not until I reached the center, not until I could feel her.Not until I took her away from that bastard!“Where is she?” I growled, voice ragged from hours of battle. My wolf, barely awake inside me, whined softly, unable to connect with Nyra as it used to.One of the guards rushed to my side. “Alpha—”“Where is Nyra?” I barked, shoving away the guards who tried to steady me. Nick hesitated, eyes darting to the pack infirmary steps. “She’s inside… but… she’s not alone.”Mu jaw tightened. Blood still dripped from my knuckles as I pushed through the wooden door. There she was.Nyra sat on the bed, her wrist wrapped in cloth, her long hair falling in tangles down her back. But that wasn’t what stopped my breath. It was the man beside her.Tall. Dark-eyed. Hand on her shoulder
LUCIEN The moon stood still in sky, its eerie shadows casting its soft glow on us. Mark and Dan, my delta trailed behind me as we scaled through the forest, our boots marching against the cracked ground. We held our weapons firm in our hands, eyes flickering around. The cries of the warriors reached our eyes and my eyebrows darted wide, I looked at Mark."The rogues are winning, Alpha." My jaw dropped, this couldn't be possible. The last time they attacked, we defeated them. How come they were crushing us now?I had my soldiers trained well, this wasn't supposed to be."Do we turn around? I think we should send a signal to the soldiers to retreat, we're losing so many men." Mark suggested but I shook my head."We shall advance, no matter what!" I declared, my voice booming through the chaos.Mark and Dan shared a worried expression before they nodded."I'll lead the way." I said, moving forward with caution but Cole's voice stopped me."The shadows keep veiling my sight. Are you s
LUCIEN~»Scavengeing lone wolves to myself wasn't my joy, it was only a way to run away from my fear and pain.My mother abandoned me when I was only six. She left my father and no-one had ever heard of her for 22 years now.I never knew what it meant to have a mother, I never enjoyed motherly love.My father got married to someone else when mother disappeared and ever since the night of their bonding, he failed to acknowledge me.We only related like business partners, he only spoke or called for me when it was necessary or about the Pack's affairs.I was so lonely, felt so dejected….and that was when Alyssa came into my life.My wolf was so extraordinary that I didn't wait until 18 like other wolves before I knew who my mate was.I was only 15 when I marked Alyssa. It was at the Academy we met. She thought me how to live again, drew me from my inner pains. She was all I could ever pray for.Alyssa and I were supposed to get married four days ago but she died a day before our enga
NYRA~»"What's wrong with you?" I asked, my voice trembling. All he did was draw me closer and slammed his lips on mine."Alp…. Alpha…" I groaned in his mouth, struggling to break free but he didn't let go. Without warning, he kissed me hard, pinning me beneath me as the world blurred around us."Please, don't leave me." He croaked, his face buried in my neck. My pulse raced, each beat echoing my confusion. What did he mean?Did he just beg me not to leave? He lifted his face to look at me and instinctively, my hands crawled up his face. Touching his eyes again, they came back to normal — no more emptiness, no more gloominess. They were now back to his normal glowing green ones. His eyes roamed my body, never leaving me for a moment. He inched closer and my mouth fell open, wondering what he was going to do.Before I could fall off his bed, he grabbed my hand and pulled me to lay on his chest.I froze, "w….what are you doing?""It's only a matter of time." He rasped, "I can only
NYRA~»He called me his, yet he doesn't seize to make my life miserable— a living hell.He doesn't only stop at rejecting me, he got me locked up— whirling in darkness and cold or this eerie dungeon. He dragged me here himself, bound me to chains and watches the guards torture me.The smirk on his face doesn't quaver, they remain— haunting and evil."Pl—please….." my scream booms in the room. I can't take the pain, no, not any longer. He's going to listen and have mercy, I think, but my thoughts are cut off when he takes the whip and slices the blade through my skin."How do you feel now,one wolf?" He steps forward, lowering the chains so I can face him.My head is hung low and I'm breathless. Tears stream down my eyes, dampening my pale face.He moves his hand up my face, his finger brushing some strands of my hair off my sweaty forehead."Lone wolves like you are my muse and watching you cry and shriek excites me." "Alpha…. Please, spare me." His gaze soften, something shifting
NYRA~»The moon hangs high in the sky, its eerie shadows flickering through the room. The room is strangely cold and I can't help but shiver as I hold unto my knees. When Alpha King Lucien walks into the room, my whole body goes stiff and my breath hitches.I sink in grief as he takes slow and deliberate steps towards me, what is he going to do to me now?"Such pretty lone wolf." He smirks, tracing his thumb along my lips.I shudder when his smooth palm makes contact with my thigh, sliding up."W….what are you doing?" My lips tremble as the question slips out.The way my skin burns at his touch is strange and the burning sensation that feels within me causes more confusion. Why am I vulnerable to his touch?"I can smell the rejection all over you." He sniffs as he kisses my nape and a moan leaves my mouth before I can control it.The heat intensifies and my wolf's thuds are relentless. Why am I this way?"Mireya, What's wrong?" I ask her and the reply she gives me sends my blood run
