the truth dawns

Helena slowly opened her eyes, her head throbbing with pain. She tried to move, but found herself restrained. Looking around, she saw that she was in a small, damp cell, with no windows and only a small barred door. She struggled against her restraints, but they held firm.

After a few moments, Helena's eyes adjusted to the dim light and she saw Sebastian had returned and was standing outside her cell. His face was twisted in a cruel smile.

"I see you're finally awake, it's almost as if my mere presence brings you back to life" he said, his voice cold and mocking. "Did you really think I was on your side? Did you really believe that I would betray my own kind for a mere human like you?"

Helena struggled against her restraints, trying to break free. "Let me go," she hissed. "You're a traitor to your own kind!"

Sebastian laughed. "I am no traitor. I am simply doing what is best for my clan. And that means getting rid of weak links like you."

Helena's heart sank as she realized the truth.
